4 of us started our 4 day Animal Kingdom Lodge KidaniVillage Village Vacation Club vacation with dinner at Jiko.

A drink at the small bar then off to our table. Our waitress Dawn was stellar, and part of the excellent experience.

Birthday hubby loved his birthday "booster dessert" of choco (picture) dessert. Our scallops, Berkshire pork, flat breads and South African wines were fabulous.

Milk tart, coffee creme brulee, chocolate green tea safari, all delicious with

We absolutely loved the food & the service. The bar was nice as well and we had a lovely dinner for under $200.00. Would totally recommend!

Went to Jiko last year and really liked it, however, this year the service was VERY slow and the food was average at best. We ate at the best Disney restaurants this year with older kids (17 & 20) and parents and we all felt the same way. Given the price of this restaurant, we expected much better. If anyone is going to spend this kind of money, you can do better at other finer restaurants in the area - I would avoid Jiko for now.

We didn't know you could find excellent cuisine in Orlando. The food is spicy so beware those who suffer from stomach problems. It is not cheap but it is not terribly expensive. We had great African wine

Jiko's cuisine, which is a cleverly mastered blend of African, Indian and Mediterranean influences, is delivered by an informed, friendly and attentive staff. The dishes cater to a plethora of palates, ranging from vegan to carnivore and the wine list includes varietals that are hard, if not impossible, to find in the U.S. Jiko is Disney dining at it's finest, delivering very good, to sometimes great, food in a slightly upscale setting. Many of the signature dishes (the wild board and "Taste of Africa" appetizers to name just two) are always winners. There are times, however, when the flavors, such as during our latest visit with the preserved lemon chicken that the dish just missed it's mark where the lemon flavor was noticeably absent in the slightly overcooked chicken. Conversely, the lamb "two ways" was fabulous, delivering tantalizing flavors cooked to perfection. Bottom line, this is a wonderful restaurant that occasionally misses the bullseye but it should definitely remain on your target! Note, if I could give this a 4.5, I would.
