We have taken so many trips and I have always stayed away from Jikos. I am truly sorry we did! First of all the service was top notch which is so rare to find in WDW. The food was delicious and beautifully executed. Fresh, authentic, beautifully presented and let's not forget
the unbelievable selection of wines. Not to be missed!

Our family of six visited Jiko after touring the Animal Kingdom, and it was our best meal in WDW. The atmosphere is modern, yet relaxing, and our server was fabulous. Our kids enjoyed their food tremendously, grilled beef or fish with potatoes and grilled vegetables, which was healthier and tastier than the standard mac-n-cheese/chicken fingers that you get at most WDW restaurants. They had a blast with their desserts-build your own smores or a white chocolate puzzle and ice cream sundae.
My husband and I enjoyed the Taste of Africa and the variety of flatbreads. The lamb patis was excellent, as were the shrimp curry and lamb shank entrees. We loved the dulce de leche cake and the chocolate cheesecake. We will be back the next time we visit WDW.

We dined with another couple at Jiko on Saturday, October 13th in the evening. First of all, get a glass of wine at the bar if you have to wait even 2 minutes for your table. The South African wines are really something to behold!

I would say that the second time around I was not as impressed with the service. We've been to Jiko before, so we knew there was a separate vegetarian menu, however, our waiter said he was unsure of this. When we pressed him for it, voila! He produced the menu. So, that was a bit of a brow-raiser, but knowing the food would be delicious, we were able to move on pretty easily....

We started with the flatbread and the cheese appetizer. WOW. I had the Indian sampler as my dinner and it was more than enough. The other guests were all very pleased as well, with everyone trying the beef & fish dishes. Dessert was just as fabulous as the main course. If you're looking for a bit of an upscale experience at Disney, this is your place. Go, if only, for the food!!

We ate here while staying at AKL, we turned up without a reservation and got seated immediately.

Our waiter was wonderful and really new his stuff. The food and wine were delicious, and the service first class.

We ate here with our 5 year old daughter, and it was really nice to have a childs menu that didn't consist of chicken nuggets and fries. We got her a lovely chicken breast with fresh vegetables, I would have been happy eating it.

The only fault was the air-con was on so high it was freezing.

Overall a great place to dine.
