Description: Charley's Steak House has created a unique dining experience unsurpassed in the industry. The restaurant's namesake, Charley Woodsby, co-founder of the Red Lobster chain, was honored by the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006. After selling Red Lobster to General Mills in 1970, Charley and his son Ron Woodsby developed Talk of the Town Restaurants - the corporate parent to Charley's Steak House. Over the years the Woodsby's have become "beef aficionados" with a steadfast formula for success: feature only Midwest grain-fed USDA Prime & Choice beef, age on-site for 4 to 6 weeks, and have management cut meat daily and season for 30 hours to create distinctive flavor. The steak is then flame-grilled over a 1200° open pit, fueled with a combination of Florida citrus & oak wood. This carefully monitored process provides for quality, tenderness and a tantalizing taste that elevates Charley's to the ultimate steakhouse experience. Since its inception, Charley's Steak House has prided itself on being a traditional steakhouse. But with the rise in number of savvy diners came the need to evolve the definition of 'steakhouse'. Instituting a corporate chef and placing managing chefs at each location, Charley's has advanced into a traditional steakhouse with culinary flair featuring chef-driven appetizers and entrees as well as established menu items.

“soo much food :)”

We met some friends here who were also holidaying in Orlando during new year, on their recommendation.
We sat in a quiet wood panelled room, as we were a party of 11. The menu is quite limited, aimed at meat eaters - with a huge variety of steaks, which are presented at the table for descriptive and theatrical purposes !Thankfully, we decided to skip the starters, and go for the main course only - I shared a large filet steak with a friend, but there were enormous steaks on offer up to the value of 70$.
The steaks were delicious, and the sides of spinach and home made chips were great. Someone left some steak that was a little too rare, and the waiter took it to be quickly seared, and it came back perfect.
The desserts are fabulous - we had creme brule which was served at the table, fired with a lot of brandy and flames ! The cakes are the biggest slices I have ever seen (for$8 - pretty good value) We had a great evening, but I do think the waiters can be a bit pushy with starters, but they did advise us not to have too many sides, because they too are very generous.

I was invited to a "customer night" during a conference in Orlando. We started with a choice of appetizers: tiger shrimp, alligator, calamari and dips: it was just excellent - fresh and tasty. For the main course I chose the filet steak: OMG. It was the best steak I ever had.
Save the best for the last: a plate with a selection of cakes for each table. I tried the chocolate cake (yummy), the key lime pie (YES) and the carrot cake (perfect).
Service was outstanding as well!

What can I say, service was amazing, food was amazing and Chocolate cake was the size of you seven year old's head. Would defo recommend. We had just spent the day at Universal and walked in wearing shorts and t shirts. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our seat in the main dining area. Waiters were great taking you through the full menu and displaying all the cuts of meat, this added to the experience, not a sales pitch as he recommended that my wife and son share a main course due to the portion size which was a great idea. Will be back next year.

“Terrible and far to expensive”

1st of all go if you like hard core sales. We felt like we was sitting in a time share meeting. All waiters rattle off the same sales pitch. It was just terrible!!!. The food was piled on the plates to the point it was making us feel sick. We ordered steak both medium to rare, and it was so burnt. Considering there oven was made only to cook there Massage beer fed cattle. The whole experience was awful. And the food was hardly A* ratings. When the bill came we was in total shock. What a rip off.
