Description: Walk into Cariera’s by Castelli and you’ll immediately feel like part of the family. The dinning room creates a quaint, yet comfortable atmosphere for any occasion. If sitting at the bar or in the lounge is more your style, plan on being treated with true Italian hospitality. The full service bar features a variety of specialty liqueurs, ports, cognacs and an extensive wine list. Can’t decide? Have one of our cosmopolitans or a raspberry martini.Once comfortably seated, its your mind that must do the decision making. For starters, Cariera’s menu is loaded with different appetizers to choose from including Asiago Stuffed Shrimp, Fried Calamari, and Mussels Arrabiata. The menu also includes a variety of specialty Entrees such as Grilled Chicken Penne, Ravioli Di Mia Madre, and Chicken Cariera’s. Last but certainly not least, Cariera’s is known for a few delicious handmade desserts including Creme Brulee, Cannolis and Tiramisu. If entertainment is what you’re after, look no further. An eclectic mix of performers come to perform weekly. If you’re feeling like some fresh air, step outside onto the patio. Seating is limited, but the Cariera’s staff will make extra room just for you. And best of all, the patio is covered, so you can still dine outside during one of Central Florida’s famous summer showers. Life gets so hectic sometimes that many of us are unable to dine out, but rest assured, Cariera’s has take-out so that you can bring some of your favorite dishes home. For the past three years, Cariera’s Cucina Italiana has earned the honor of being the number one family restaurant by the Southwest Bulletin.

My husband and I enjoyed a very good meal here last week. The restaurant has been sold and the new owners have kept the same menu and chef per our waiter/manager. They recently took down all of the pictures off the walls and painted everything white. It is a bit stark and cold when you walk in but, again per the staff, they are going to be doing some remodeling and decorating in the near future. Now to the food, my favorite is the rigatoni farciti, rigatoni stuffed with ground veal, served with a meat sauce and baked with cheese on top, delicious. My husband had the chicken marsala and it was very good. Love the garlic knots(bread) served with the meal. Look forward to going back and seeing what they have done with the decor and of course enjoy another meal.

Since the new owner took over this past June we are delighted with the changes. The food quality is much better and the interior is much brighter. Claudio was our waiter and real italian as well. He was great.

Fabulous Italian food at reasonable prices. Set lunch menu excellent value for money, staff were lovely - really friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend this individual restaurant as a oasis in the dessert of surrounding chain restaurants!

Menu has not changed, some staff changes. Local spot in dr Phillips area. Family style italian food, good pizza. With a few cosmetic changes this could get better

Thank you for your review!

We thought that you would like to be one of the first to hear that yes, we do have plans to remodel the restaurant. In fact, we have already started the remodeling this week. We hope this can be a place for many more great experiences with us!

Best wishes!

Good food, not great. The prices are a little high for the quality. Salads were good and fresh. Two out four of us were not really satisfied with the dinner. But, it was ok.
