Description: CAFÉ TU TU TANGO was founded in 1991 by three friends who had just returned from a trip to Barcelona, Spain. While in Barcelona they marveled at the creativity and culture that surrounded them at so many of the cafe’s and coffee shops...artists scribbling sketches, writers working on novels, poets weaving sonnets together as they shared inspirations, encouraged one another’s creativity and noshed on small plates of unique and eclectic foods. These friends began imagining ways to bring this magic back home with them; and this was the genesis of the super creative, always evolving and sensory invoking experience that is our locally owned Café Tu Tu Tango!

Found this place via Open Table and verified with front desk staff at hotel. Eclectic, artistic environment with an artist on-scene during dinner! Fun atmosphere and great serving staff. Great small plates for sharing, Including sirloin and beef that was very tasty. One of the best small Margherita style flatbread I've had; fresh ingredients and great tasting. Will return.

I was drawn to this restaurant by it's location, appearance and activity. So I gave it a try. Inside or outside dining or bar access. Food is served from the menu in basically appetizer or "tapas" style and portions, so you'd probably want to order two dishes to equal one standard entree, but thats the fun of it! The food is excellent and some of the menu items have a nice creative flair to them. Full bar choices and a great variety of beer from the big beer brands to craft brews from different places in the US. Everyone I observed, local and tourist, were enjoying their food and the atmosphere.

What a fun place! The food was great, unusual and tasty. There was an artist creating in this great space as we ate, local artists' works displayed all over the restaurant and little magnets of their works available for sale. I bought one and added it right to our lunch bill. We had the excellent red sangria, guacamole hummus, bacon gem baby and steak skewers. We wanted to save room for the cheesecake lollipops that others have raved about but we were too full. Next time!!!

Cafe Tu Tu Tango is a tapas restaurant with a large selection of small plates which are great for sharing or perfect for one person to try a couple different dishes without overdoing it. The restaurant is filled with local artists' works which makes the environment funky and colorful. A good, non-generic, non-chain restaurant located is a relatively quiet part of I Drive.

We brought a couple that had never been and loved seeing how much they enjoyed the experience. Our server, Donovan, guided us, providing great service with a super attitude-- not always easy with a party of six.
The jalapeño margarita, sangria and Maduro beer were all big hits. We tried ten different plates, with the mac and cheese, shrimp lettuce wraps and pizza the overall winners. Lots of choices, with accommodations easily made for our vegetarian.
The food and service are only half of the experience. The art, flamenco dancers, artists, mystic, creative seating just add to the party.
One improvement would be to have one in St Augustine too!
