Description: Santiago's Bodega presents a unique tasting experience featuring small plates that hopscotch between decadent (a warm Camembert wedge topped with sauteed garlic, onions, almonds, apricots, chopped dates, bell peppers), refreshing (yellow fin tuna, avocado, mango ceviche), exotic (lamb patties with fresh thyme, sherry, lemon zest) and just plain comfort-food-delicious (Roman meatballs on angel hair, or fried potatoes in a spicy sauce). As nothing costs over $15, there’s no major commitment, and if the relationship doesn't work, move along to the next selection. The menu’s ideal for sharing and for mixing up in endless combinations. Alternate between chevre tartlet, spanakopita, or smoked salmon carpaccio. Invent your own meal. Dining in such a way permits the rules of wine pairings to step aside like snooty impostors, and what goes best with dinner is exactly what tempts you. Santiago’s Bodega is a good-natured, low-key, food-lovers hangout, a neighborhood restaurant. - Margit Bisztray

“Fabulous Experience”
Reviewed March 30, 2014

I lived in Key West and the Santiago's there (same ownership) was one of my favorite places to dine and recommend to guest's visiting the island. So when I moved to Orlando I was thrilled to hear Santiago's added a new location here. I felt like I was back home! The menu and quality is the same and as always everything was ridiculously wonderful! I have enjoyed pretty much the entire menu and never have been disappointed. Can't wait to go back and try the Sunday Brunch!

Great tapas and wine.
Service and atmosphere were nice.
We went during happy hour which I recommend.
Lamb rack...pass on that but everything else was great.
Try the port sangria.

“Great food, atmosphere, love the sangria and service”
Reviewed March 5, 2014

I've yet to have something I do not like at this restaurant...the soups are amazing - I know you might want to skip soup because of all the choices but try one! The lentil soup and/or spicy shrimp soups are my favorites. I like both the red and the wine sangrias...haven't yet made it to dessert but hope to soon!

“Good food. Good wine. Service? Good God!”
Reviewed March 2, 2014 via mobile

Love the original in Key West, so was excited to try the Orlando restaurant a little closer to home. Same great menu, same great wine list. Unfortunately service was lacking. Significantly. Stood at the front for several minutes upon arrival without being acknowledged even though there were two hostesses and only one was tied up. Finally just walked into the restaurant to find our party on our own. Our waitress was more than a bit scattered - semed totally overwhelmed by simple requests and was extremely inattentive. Had to reorder bread several times and chase her down to pay our bill. In a place like this one shouldn't need to manage one's wait staff. Hopefully just an off night.

“Good food, watered down sangria”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

Tapas style servings, very well prepared but the Red Sangria was too watered down. Very nice atmosphere, a bit loud and slow service, I guess because it was crowded.
