Description: Citricos restaurant brings the cuisine of southern Europe to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Citricos chefs rotate dinner selections frequently for a focused menu of American dishes inspired by the cuisine of Provençe, Tuscany and the Spanish Riviera—such as steaks seared on an oak-filled grill, creative risotto, pastas, and seafood depending on the season. The main dining room is airy and decorated with hues of yellow and orange. Old-world furnishings, wrought-iron railings and mosaic-tile floors contribute to the warm Mediterranean décor. Located on the second floor of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, windows near select tables in Citricos provide a phenomenal view of the courtyard. Other tables allow you to peer into the bustling show kitchen. Meet the Head Chef at Citricos Restaurant. The Chef's Domain at Citricos Restaurant: For an exclusive gourmet dining event that brings you even closer to the action on the culinary stage, reserve The Chef's Domain at Citricos. Diners at The Chef's Domain may order from the traditional menu or choose to have the chef create a menu for them in a private dining room that seats up to 12 Guests. The Chef's Domain has one seating daily at 6:00 p.m.; reserve early.

We had dinner here tonight and everything was super! I has the pork, two ways, tenderloin and pork belly. It was very tasty, well prepared, very flavorful. Service was prompt, helpful, very professional. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere is elegant. The fireworks from the Magic Kingdom were going off when we had dessert which made it even more festive.

We had rather high expectations from Citricos having read many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. So, we booked a dinner to celebrate our 12th anniversary as well as to launch our 8 day WDW vacation. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointment and started our vacation on a sour note.

We arrived about 15 mins prior to our reservation and we were seated after a short wait. The ambiance was rather pleasant, and we were so happy to start our much anticipated vacation. It took our waitress a long time to come and meet us. She was kind and well informed about wines, but that is all the positive I can tell about her. She was very very slow, not attentive at all, and we barely saw her during our dinner.

Basically she served us our wine, and she took our order. And we waited, and we waited, and we waited. Finally someone else brought our food. By the time our dinner was delivered it was really obvious that our plates had been sitting somewhere forever. The food was barely lukewarm and nothing looked much appetizing.

Our daughter asked for grilled chicken from kid's menu. Her chicken was plain white with no grill marks or any color on it. It looked like frozen chicken that was defrosted. She was not offered any ketchup or anything else to make it palatable, but she ate it anyway because she was really hungry after a long wait. I ordered Oak-grilled Filet of Beef and in a restaurant like this, I had higher expectations. It was nothing special at all. But, my husband's Braised Veal Shank was the worst. The gravy had dried up with a crust forming on top and the limp green beans on his plate were literally dehydrated from being reheated. He patiently waited for our waitress to show up, and when she finally came by after 20 minutes or so, he expressed his disappointment. We were not offered an apology or any other kindness, but she got it re-plated for him with more acceptable looking vegetables. That was really disappointing for this restaurant's signature dish.

When we got done, it was another long wait for someone to pick our plates and take our dessert order. We chose Warm Chocolate-Banana Torte which was really rich, and Tropical Fruit Creme Brulee. The presentation for the Creme Bruless was very appealing, however it tasted very egg-y and we did not care for it much.

And then it was another very long wait for the check and payment. This one dinner took us about 3 hrs from the first time we were seated until we left the restaurant. Considering that we did not have any salad or appetizers, I find 3 hrs a fairly long time for entree and dessert only. Although our anniversary was mentioned while making the reservation, and then again while ordering wine, nothing was ever acknowledged by our server.

All in all, Citricos proved to be a very disappointing experience. Our family had 6 WDW vacations so far, and we try at least one signature restaurant during each vacation. In the past, we had much better food and service at Jiko and California Grill.

it is very expensive but an average restaurant, especially kids menu was very weak.
service was slow and not efficient, each time they were asking who ordered what, Reservation is necessary.

The restaurant is beautiful. The staff was great. The steak is delicious. The selection is very good. The wine list was extensive. The view of fireworks was a nice touch. Having this restaurant included in the Deluxe Dining Plan was a nice touch. The crème brulee was not the best. Skip it and pick the tiramisu. All in all a delicious dinner but not for children. Think romantic adult dinner.
