Description: The Kona Cafe infuses a bit of Asian zest into traditional American breakfast, lunch and dinner fare in Disney's Polynesian Resort. Indulge in the scrumptious cinnamon and banana-stuffed Tonga Toast or choose from a variety of more savory breakfast options like a variety of egg dishes and pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. At midday, satisfy your hunger with an Island chicken sandwich and housemade sweet potato chips, shrimp and scallops, or other tasty entrees. Dine in the evening on delicacies such as a selection of fresh fish, grilled ginger-crusted ribeye steak or coconut almond chicken. As you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this Polynesian restaurant, feast your eyes across the onstage open pastry kitchen that prepares divine desserts. Kona Cafe offers authentic Kona coffee as a perfect pairing to these pastries, or as a rich addition to any meal.

We went to Disney to re- live our childhood and went to Magic Kingdom
spent the morning beating the crowds on a few attractions going on them multiple times like little kids having a blast ! then the heat set in . lucky for us we didnt want to do much more than ride the monorail and go to all the hotel bars and eat and drink.
Then the rain came down and it rained hard for 2 straight days. we waited to have a drink at the bar in the Polynesian resort but it didnt open until 1:30 so we walk 3 feet to the Kona cafe , the wife and i got our drinks and so we ate .. i had the asian noodle bowl and it was awesome and the wife had a similar noodle dish and they were both excellent. after chowing down and drinking a few, we made it back to the park just in time for the Parade. too bad LSD isnt legal or obtainable because it would have been fun to trip out for this .oh i forgot this a review of the Kona cafe, yeah, the food rocked!!, the service was a lil slow.
enjoy !!

Went with wife and another couple for dinner. Arrived prior to our 5 PM reservation (when it opened). Ordered some appetizers, then asked about the fish of the day. The server said it was a "salmon AND mahi-mahi". I said great, she said "which one". Ended up choosing the mahi-mahi, which was fantastic. My wife ordered scallops which she loved. Other couple had scallops and tuna, which they liked. Unfortunately the main dish came LONG after the appetizers. By 6:45 we were asking for the check so we could get back to the park to see the late night shows. Also, we had a meal plan, which at the time was fine, but later that week another restaurant said we were out of dinners. When we called Disney Customer Service, they said the Kona Cafe charged us twice for our meals, charging my wife and I for 4 meals instead of 2.

We have enjoyed eating at 'Ohanna (which is right across from Kona Cafe) but didnt really have an 'Ohanna budget this time around. Our birthday tradition is to take the birthday person out for a meal at the location of their choice. So for my daughter's special day we went to Kona Cafe. The service was out of this world. Our server, Maria, treated us like family. What a sweetheart! Three of us had the "Big Kahuna" which came with two eggs any style, French toast, pancakes with macadamia nut butter and pineapple topping, breakfast potatoes, a sausage link, 2 pieces of bacon, and a small serving of ham. My grandson and granddaughter (2 and 5) shared a Mickey Pancake and my 15 year old granddaughter had a ham and cheese omelette. Those of us with the Big Kahunas shared some of our bounty with the younger ones. The sausage was the wonderful sausage we all loved at 'Ohanna. Our server brought a plate with cupcakes and "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate sauce at the end of our meal. The special juice was delicious (even if a bit expensive at $4.00 a glass!). We shared a pot of Kona coffee which was very rich and smooth. All in all a wonderful breakfast and way more than enough to eat. The people at the next table were eating Tonga Toast which was huge!!

Accommodating for children and families and food was all great. I had the dining plan and so each of the meals for our family lunch came with a dessert. We split a bunch and they were all great.
