Let's start by saying that pretty much any dining at Disney is 20%-25% higher priced than comparable restaurants outside the resort. But the service is usually better. My wife has several food allergies, and the chef at each restaurant came to the table to suggest choices, and several even offered to make special dishes to accommodate her.
Narcoosee's is really a wonderful place. The service was terrific, and the food was fantastic. We ate here our first night there, and decided to head back another night despite having no reservation. The host clued us in that the bar serves the full menu, and if you show up just as they open, it's easy to find a seat (forget getting a regular table if you haven't reserved months in advance).
On our second visit, we were having trouble deciding on an appetizer. The chef brought us a complimentary plate of the one we had reluctantly decided against.
If you time your visit with the fireworks, you can see them as you eat. They dim the lights and put the music on the PA system. If you like, you can take a drink onto the veranda with you for a better view.
