With more and more of Disney's restaurants serving up standard, mediocre fare, it is a nice surprise to find a really good place to eat. Narcoossee's is a quiet, upscale restaurants with good service and great food.

We have been visiting Disney for many years and have avoided some of the higher end restaurants because of the menu prices but we decided to go for it on our last trip. Narcosees is advertised as a high end seafood and steak restaurant and we should have been more cautious as we entered the place because it was not overly populated by guests, the open kitchen (noticed after the fact) did not appear to have any open grill ... The waiter was pretty good in that he warned us that the lobster in the surf and turf was Canadian (we pointed out to him that Canadian and Maine lobster are the very best) ... he also explained how they prepared the lobster (warning lights should have gone off) but his explanation also indicated that the method was a very special method (upon reflection, it became more clear that the preparation method was designed for banquet service rather than a lovely individually prepared meal ... and who wants to pay high end prices for banquet quality food) ... overall, a great disappointment and if it had not been for the warning signs which we blissfully ignored, I would have likely asked for a good portion of our money back .. the steak by the way was okay ... the preparation of the lobster was criminal

Ate here as part of Disney's dining plan. This is a signature dining experience so it costs two points. Well worth it though as, like most of the signature dining establishments, the food is superb.

It is located on the water at the Grand Floridian Resort.

The service was very good. Our particular server was void of much personality, but he was very efficient and accommodating.

The food was delicious and very gourmet. I had the Maine lobsters tails that were very tasty, possibly a tad under cooked, but who's complaining. The fried oyster appetizer was very appealing too. As you may have figured out by now, seafood is the specialty here. They serve up some nice crab cakes and a pretty nice surf and turf.

The desserts were also very delicious. Another all around pleasant Disney signature dining experience.

I had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations, mainly because of poor service. My husband had the surf n turf which he enjoyed and I had the chicken which was OK. Our waiter was sullen and we had to remind him to bring things that we had ordered. Judging by other positive reviews maybe we just went on a bad night. The menu is very expensive but because we were on the dining plan it didn't matter although I would not want to pay out of pocket for it as I feel it is not worth it. I would recommend instead the Yachtsman Steakhouse at the Yacht Club. One good point is the varied children's menu.

We had a great meal here at Narcossee's.

We were staying at the Beach Club for 8nts on Deluxe Dining with 2 adults and 2 children.

We had booked an ADR for 5.30pm.

We had a lovely view overlooking the lake and Magic Kingdom.

Let my pictures do the talking!

Would return!
