Had a wagyu strip steak. Was really disappointed in the trim level. The butcher left large pieces of grissle and fat without trimming them and the chef didn't bother to check the quality before service. Very disappointing for the quality that previously existed in this restaurant.

This is a good steakhouse because it's close to my room. They have pretty good steak when I ate ther and some good sides. The decor made me feel like I was at my favorite restaurant, Fogo de Chao. That is always a good thing. Very good value.

This was one of our favorite restaurants, we always go here but we have noticed a subtle decline in quality. Luckily we found a replacement, Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge, but that's another review.

First we had a reservation or ADR whatever the Disney term is for 7:30 pm and we were not seated until 8:15 pm. I think this restaurant was overbooked or people were lingering. When we inquired about the long wait the hostess was full of attitude. Our mistake was probably the late ADR, I suggest making these closer to when the restaurant opens then you don't have to wait too long.

We had the calamari appetizer, not very good but OK and the Lobster Bisque, very good and lots of lobster. One person had a fish dish with ravioli and said it was very good. We shared the rib eye which was really fatty. I know that rib eye is a fatty piece of meat but it just wasn't very good and expensive. It was nice that they split it for us. We use to get the Prime Rib but they no longer offer it. It is moved to the Captain Grille b/c they need a higher end dish on the menu.

Also, a member of our party ordered wine recommended by the server it took them a while to find the bottle. The wine showed up after the appetizer.

After some disappointing meals at the Flying fish & California Grill we were looking for a new favorite. We tried the Yachtsman last year and all loved it. Went again just a week ago and although the food was good it wasn't unbelieveable. And its looking more and more to me that the servers at the Disney restaurants and no longer anything special either.

But we'll try the Yachtsman again next year because the choices at Disney are starting to dwindle.

Ate there on Valentine's Day 2008. While the staff was pleasant, the "after service" was very slow (bill, credit card processing). Steak was OK, but I have had better at chain restaurants like the Outback. Atmosphere was nothing special.
