This is one of the fine dining restaurants at Walt Disney World, located in the Fort Wilderness Lodge, which captures the environment of the big lodges in Glacier National Park and the Yellowstone Lodge in that park. The food was truly outstanding for me, I had the cedar planked salmon, plus a salad made with golden beets that was really scrumptious and something of a culinary adventure. My wife had the buffalo strip steak which was tender and tasty but the accompaniments, including truffles mac and chese, were cold. The waiter replaced the mac and cheese. The only downsides were the waiter, who was indeed very efficient, but his demeanor was extremely rushed and frenetic and detracted from the experience. Also the acoustics were quite loud - the restaurant being a large open room. And, since this is Walt Disney World, there are lots of kids at dinner, even in a pricey venue such as this, so that kicks up the noise some.

The service was ok..food good had the Buffalo.. Mushroom Soup was a classic..ask for the recipe..

Nice choices on the wine. The suggested pairings were very good.

There is talent in the kitchen.. But no quality control..

Now for the problems.. The food was served cold.. NYC prices, Orlando service..never once did a waiter refill the water glasses. Had to get a waiter..another chore. There were six at our table one was served the wrong entree.

I say save your money I bet if Walt was alive he would not eat there..

If this is a sample of the rest of the upscale resturants in Disney, shame on them. You should save your money.

This resturant would never make it in a big city..

We recently had a 10 day stay at WDW, and stayed at the Wilderness Lodge. We dined at Artist Point twice, and I wish it had been three times, it was sooo yummy! The restaurant is lovely, tucked in a corner with huge windows showing the trees and foliage outside. On our first night, we had the Buffalo Steak and the Cedar Plank Salmon, both of which were lovely, as well as the Smoky Portabello Mushroom Soup and the Berry Cobbler for dessert. The fist night, our sever was good, but could have been slightly more attentive in refilling drinks and checking up on us. However, that did not detract from our excellent meal. The second night, we had the Seared Scallops and the Filet Mignon, and again both were excellent. This time our sever was Carlos, and he was perfect. Friendly and funny without being over the top, he made the meal a very pleasant experience, and saw to our every need. The scallops were simply the best I have ever tasted; I was completely blown away with how delicious they were. We will definitely be back next time we visit WDW, and recommend Artist Point to all.

Two of us had dinner at this relatively upscale place. Overall, the meal was good, but considering the fairly steep price, there were some disappointments. Salmon, salads, and desserts were excellent. However, my partner's roast pork was way overcooked. This, despite warnings from the waiter that it would be "medium." The other disappointment was the very weak coffee. The restaurant is comfortable, and, if you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, extremely convenient.

The Artist Point is a high end but very comfortable restaurant. The food is wonderful; well prepared and consistent with the theme of the American Northwest. Set in the hotel, it is a beautiful setting. It is certainly a bit pricey but well worth the dinning experience. We would recommend not bringing kids here; not really the best experience for them. Without kids, very nice!
