Goff's is a tiny (one window) ice cream store at the corner of Church and Orange Blossom Trail in Orlando. This little business has been serving ice cream since 1948 and it looks like it....but....looks can be deceiving. This neighborhood is not in the nicest part of town either, but do not make that a factor whether to visit Goff's.
Ice cream is what one goes here for, but they also serve items like hot dogs for a buck. The cream content of this delicious product is higher than any other ice cream store that this writer has ever been. The ice cream is soft, almost custard-like and the taste is unequaled. People of all walks of life continually stream into this icon of old Orlando. The usual toppings are available and the writer chose strawberries on his vanilla ice cream....terrific.
In conclusion: if one wants the best soft ice cream, if one wants to experience a blast of yesterday, if one is salivating just reading this...Goff's is your place. Be patient...there is only one person working the window!
