Owner description: Shingle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, FL presents challenges to players of all levels and has consistently been rated as one of Orlando's best golf courses since opening in 2003. This Orlando golf course has a rich history, receiving its name from the creek that runs throughout the Shingle Creek Resort. Some of the earliest Central Florida settlers were attracted to the area because of wildlife, fishing, cypress trees, and of course the creek. At the time the creek was primarily used for logging cypress trees, which were transported down the river to a nearby mill. The trees were then processed into shingles, making shingle creek the perfect name for the course. The course is known for its large, undulating greens, plush fairways and an abundance of water hazards. Shingle Creek is also home to the Brad Brewer Golf Academy, one of the best golf instruction facilities in the nation. Brad Brewer has received numerous awards and recognitions, such as being ranked as a top 100 teacher by Golf Magazine and PGA class-A Professional. Our state-of-the-art practice facility provides Orlando golfers with everything they need to work on their game. Before playing a round we encourage players to fine tune their swing at the 70,000 sq. ft. driving range and to prepare for the tough greens on one of our three immaculate putting greens. For information about our world-renowned instruction facility, call us at 866-996-9933. Still need a reason to visit Shingle Creek? Here is our commitment to you: Award-winning customer service Tournament course conditions Manicured tropical landscaping Free valet parking Great prices and services State-of-the-art technology and GPS systems on golf carts 5 sets of tee boxes for all playing levels A 1,500 guestroom luxurious hotel for guests Food and beverage options that will exceed your expectations Quiet and laid-back atmosphere with upscale amenities Would you like this to be your next golf experience? “water water”
Reviewed April 20, 2014

Enjoyed a beautiful late afternoon on this spectacular course at a reasonable rate for cart ,clubs and course.
Bring a good supply of balls for the three you get are not enough.
16 of the holes have water and the designer must have never heard of short par threes.
Well organised and rangers keep players moving along thus avoiding really long tedious rounds.
Greens were not the best as work was obviously being down so lacked a little consistency but should be very quick given a month or two.
Good price for a top quality golf experince

“Worst experience on a golf course in 45 years of playing the game”
Reviewed April 12, 2014

Me and seven of my golf buddies traveled from Nassau Bahama to play some golf in Orlando. Shingle Creek was one of the courses we selected and booked about 4 weeks in advance. We arrived within 5 minutes of our tee time and went straight to the first hole for tee off. After playing the first hole we started on our way to the second hole. We somehow ended up on the wrong path wich we niticed and ended up making an abrupt stop to get on the correct path. My partner in the cart somehow ended up against the windshield of the cart and it was dislodged. He decided to place the windshield on the side of the path to the tee box because there was no place to put it on the cart that would not leave it in the way during play. When we got to the tee box about to tee off a golf course worker approached us in the most unprofessional way I've ever experience in my 30 years of being in the hotel and hospitality business. He insisted that we put the glass back in the cart. After he clearly conceded that there was no practical place for the glass on the cart he demanded that we call the pro shop. We told we did not have a cell phone and further we did not even know the number. We asked him if he could carry the glass in since he was driving a vehicle with lots of space. He said ok ans left. When we got to the third hole tee we were approached by another worker who also approached us in the most negative way imagined. We tried extremely hard to maintain our composure and we explained what happened. To our surprised he then said his Suprentendant and assistant Suprentendant told him that the glass was ripped off the cart and thrown in the bush he also asked us if we are trying to convince him that they are both lying. We told him unequivicalky they are lying if they told him that. He also asked us why we did not call the pro shop. We told him we were busing from the Bahamas and did not have a cell phone. We asked him if he would allow us to complete the round and discuss it at the clubhouse after the round. He left. On the fourth green we were approached by a security and the manager of the resort who told us (8 players - keep in mind the other players was no way involved with the incident) to leave the golf course. We said ok. We went to the clubhouse and asked for our money back and they said no. So to summarize one cart with two players had an accident, 8 players with 4 carts were asked to leave the golf course with no refund. This is the absolute worst experience ever had in my 45 years if playing the game. I have played literally all over the world. Bad attitude, terrible communication skills with all staff we interacted with. I would definitely caution anyone who is contemplating playing this golf course. I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. They should not be allowed to be in business with this attitude.

“Great Round”
Reviewed April 7, 2014 via mobile

Played here at the beginning of April and had a ton of fun. The course was in very nice shape except for the green on number 2. The pro shop was nice and the staff was great. We will be playing here again.

“Beautiful”
Reviewed February 19, 2014

Rosen Shingle Creek isn't just a golf course. It is a destination.
The main hotel is huge, with very comfortable rooms with specialty amenities. It has several restaurants, bars, a café, and a 24hr market. You literally do not have to leave this place at all, everything needed is on site.
The golf course itself has a great pro shop, and a classic steakhouse attached.
The carts have GPS, and there are several good rest buildings along the way with water and ice available. You can even preorder food via the onboard golf cart computer for pickup when you reach the restaurant.
The course is designed to take advantage of the wetlands/creek, and all kinds of gorgeous water birds make this place their home. If you are a nature lover, take a camera with you to get photos of great blue herons, wood storks, cranes and egrets.
This place is not cheap, you definitely have to pay for the quality of the facilities. But the staff deliver a quality experience for the money, and the course is beautiful.

“Great golf”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

Prior to business meetings in Orlando, took a group of 15 people to Shingle Creek for a round of golf. Was pleasantly surprised by the course which was in great shape. The staff were all very helpful and courteous and everyone felt they would like to play here again. The high point, however, was the course itself. I hadn't played for several weeks, but somehow managed a reasonable score. A couple of difficult holes were offset by some totally delightful others. All in all, a great experience.

Hi Robert,

We are glad that the Shingle Creek Golf Club course could challenge you just enough. We are all still impressed by the design of the course, and our associates work hard to keep it in great shape.

We would love for you and your colleagues to join us for another round. We hope you will be back in Orlando soon.
