The service at this hotel was stellar. I was a bit underwhelmed at the hotel lobby however. Perhaps because I prefer a more modern take on decor? The room was comfortable and large enough for us to stay with our 2 year old son and his collection of cars and trucks. The bathroom in the room was huge. Having a toddler, I probably would pick a different hotel next time just to have more kid-friendly amenities, however this was a beautiful hotel.

After a few days of business meetings, we wanted to enjoy a round of golf before heading home. The Waldorf Astoria GC was recommended to one of my colleagues. We throughly enjoyed everything from the valet to the last putts on #18. This place really lived up to their reputation. The course was in really good shape and was challenging with all of the traps and water.

We played the Waldorf Astoria for the first time last year and really impressed. We were really looking forward to returning again this year. The course layout and challenge is superb. Unfortunately this year the course was quite wet as a result of a couple of days of heavy rain. Despite this we enjoyed our round of golf and as always the service was once again absolutely fantastic. Definitely a course to add to the must play list, thoroughly recommend.

We had heard from a number of people that the Waldorf was worth a visit. Booked online and turned up to discover that the front nine was shut. As was the practice area. And it had just been aerated. We were disappointed as the green fee is comparatively high. However. Service was defined by the actions of all staff involved. Seeing our disappointment. A rain check was issued. Rebooked 2 weeks later. No fuss. All at our convenience. Iced waters for the journey home a nice touch. Communication outstanding. As we left the starter who informed us of all the works taking place he had already radiod the pro shop who apologised. During which our car was pulled around and our clubs returned to it. This is how things should be done. On returning 2 weeks later the course played nicely. Free bag tag engraved was a nice touch and bottled water. Pitch mark repairers that I would expect at all exclusive clubs. The greens let it down but will happily go back in future when it's at its best.

Played 3 rounds at W. A. last week. The first was scheduled, the second two were not. That's a good thing... and here's why.

When you book a course sight unseen, you are hoping for the best. Service, course condition, enjoyability.... Waldorf Astoria Golf club delivers!!

This is easily the best customer service I've received at a golf course, besting some fantastic resort courses and TPC's. From the bag drop / valet to the on course beverage service, to the 19th hole.

As an example. When you are warming up at the range, which is just steps from the club house, an attendant would come up and chat with us about our tee time and see if we wanted to move up, move down etc. They were 100% accommodating with our requests.

The only negative I could state, is that the course is very tough, and unforgiving for anything higher than a 20 handicap. It has hosted many USGA events, and for good reason. At a US Open qualifier, not one person broke par.

Having said that, this course is still well worth your time and effort.

The best way I could describe this club, is that it felt like we were member of this exclusive golf course, and treated like Kings.
