My husband and I stayed here as part of our 10th Anniversary trip in January and it was like home away from home. We felt like we had a small apartment of our own. We stayed in a one bedroom villa and had a full kitchen and a washer and dryer. I don't usually do laundry on vacation, but it was nice to put a load into wash and head out to dinner or a park. The jacuzzi tub was wonderful after a log day at the parks, so rejuvenating.

We love the location and valet service. It was nice to call valet and have your car brought to the front and it be there and ready when you walk out the front door.

My only cpmplaint was that we were all the way at the front of the resort and it was a long walk down a long hall, but we did find a short cut to the bus stop.

Great in every aspect. Location is perfect. Amenities are terrific. The dining options are tremendous. And they make you feel like the most important guest at the resort. The theming is beautiful throughout the hotel, and the Boardwalk itself is an attraction with its entertainers in the evening, the availability of bikes or buggies, and the games. There is food from fine dining to the pizza walk up window, and restuarants all within a short walk with your choice of theme from sports (ESPN Club) to craft brews (Big River Brewery). The short walk to EPCOT is SO convenient, as well as the comfortable walk or a nice ferry ride to Hollywood Studios. This is a great place for families, or for just adults. I have recommended this to many friends if you like staying where you can be so close to the action.

We've been DVC members for around 15 years. We love the parks and the whole Disney experience. We used to prefer Old Key West. However, as our kids get older, we find that the atmosphere of the Boardwalk at night, the choice of restaurants (even though Disney is not good for food), the fact that you can walk to Epcot and the Studios, mean that the Boardwalk is our favourite. The rooms are spacious. The kitchen facilities enable you to do a bit of self-catering, the washing machine is handy and the bedrooms are great. Personally, I don't understand the DVC fascination with whirlpool baths, but the bathrooms are nice. Car parking is too far away, particularly after a big shopping session.

Room Tip: Make sure you have a room overlooking the Boardwalk. Best for atmosphere

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, and we had a wonderful time. We had 4 adults and 2 young children, and the villa offered the perfect amount of space. It was our second stay at Boardwalk. The kitchen and washer drier are such a plus. We are not a fan of riding buses around WDW, so being able to walk to two of the four theme parks is such a plus. One negative is that Boardwalk shares buses with Swan and Dolphin, so getting to places takes longer than you might think due to the added stops. We were fortunate and had rooms close to the lobby, but some rooms are quite a long walk from the lobby. The pool is quite large and offers shaded chairs, and even though some people do not like the way the clown looks at the end of the slide, it is a fun slide. Lastly, the shops, restaurants, and entertainment options on the Boardwalk are a wonderful added plus!

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the lobby.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas on July 7-9. Of the four DVC places we have stayed, this had my least favorite room layout. If you park, you do have a hike to your cars (again – probably the worst of the four DVC resorts I have stayed at). Pools, however, are very nice – service staff is very friendly - - and they have one of the best work-out facilities in Disney World.

But it really isn’t about all of that. The main selling points about Boardwalk are LOCATION, LOCATION and LOCATION. The restaurants and shops on the Boardwalk, Swan, Dolphin and Yacht and Beach - - all great. You are a 10 minute walk into EPCOT or 15 minutes to Hollywood studios (or by boat to both places within a half hour). You can drop everything in the evening and see Fantasmic or Illuminations in just a few minutes.
