Description: 'Ohana restaurant in Disney's Polynesian Resort offers a Character Dining breakfast and a Polynesian-inspired dinner menu. Both meals are served family-style—quite fitting since 'ohana means family in the Hawaiian language.Character Dining at BreakfastJoin Lilo and Stitch for 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast! Feel like you're a part of their intergalactic 'ohana when you join them for an American breakfast influenced by the exotic tastes of the Polynesian islands. Menu selections include scrambled eggs, Island-style fried potatoes, Hawaiian pork sausages, smoked bacon and a variety of fresh fruits and breads.Family-Style Polynesian DinnerWhen the doors open for dinner, the bellow of conch shells welcome you to 'Ohana. Adding to the island ambiance are tikis, storytellers and coconut races, in which children sweep coconuts with brooms across the hardwood floor down the center of the restaurant. The family fun continues as everyone is encouraged to play with hula hoops and dance to island music. The 'Ohana servers add to the festive atmosphere, as they dash between tikis and tropical greenery to bring plates of Polynesian specialties to your table. Choose from skewers roasted over an expansive 18-foot oak fire pit, and side dishes include stir-fried vegetables, fried dumplings, lo mein noodles and a salad starter.

We ate here during our last visit to Disney World in 2012, and were SO excited to come again this year. Unfortunately, this trip was a little disappointing. First, it was (quite literally) hard to get in due to all the construction and remodeling taking place at the Polynesian Resort. Second, we got a late reservation (9:30), and since the places closes at 10:00 it seemed as though the staff was tired and more concerned with going home. Our waiter often disappeared for long stretches of time (15 minutes or more), and we had to ask someone else for the plate of noodles and sides that were supposed to come at the beginning of the meal. When our waiter finally DID make a round, it was rushed and he plopped a whole skewer of shrimp on my wife’s plate (so he could disappear without having to return for a while?), leaving us to divvy it up. He also never refilled my drink, despite being asked each time he did come. I sat parched, watching other tables as their servers came around every few minutes to refill their glasses, but only when we were ready to leave did our waiter finally get around to refilling mine. On the plus side, the food was delicious; steak, shrimp, pork, and noodles. I just hope we get another waiter if we come back. That’s a pretty big “if” however. This restaurant is very expensive, and I’ll think twice before wasting my hard-earned money on lousy service.

Just came back from a week at Disney World. Made the decision to eat a character breakfast at Ohana. Decision mostly made based on huge crowds and hot weather, did my family really want to wait in line to meet Mickey?? This is a must do! I would especially recommend for first time Disney goers. Reservations are a must! I made them as soon as we booked our trip. Seated about 10 mins after we checked in. Food is served family style, so as we were sitting we received bread, coffee, and juice. Next came huge skillet of eggs, bacon, sausage, and biscuits. Then we had a platter of fruit. Its all you can eat so be sure to fill up for a long day in parks. The characters we met were: Mickey, Pluto, Leilo and Stitch. All the characters come around to each table no lines necessary. They did a parade for the kids was a lot of fun to watch and our 6 year old loved it! As soon as parade is over characters go back to the tables they left from. Very enjoyable experience sure did beat the time wasted in a line at the parks. Expensive for breakfast, yes. But the experience was one we will never forget and one our 6 year old cant wait to repeat so money was well worth it!

This was our first time at the Ohana character breakfast and we were really looking forward to it. The food was fantastic, starting with the bread and much more than we could possibly eat. Our server was also very good and extremely busy. The reason for the only average review is the way the characters worked the room. For the 1st hour of our time there they all (Lilo, Stitch, Pluto and Mickey) worked only one side of the room. We asked the server if they would come around to our side and she said they definitely would. After we had completely finished eating we were brought the check and what looked like a manager was making hand motions for them to wrap it up (they still hadn't come anywhere near our table) We refused to acknowledge the check even though the server came back a few times to check because we made up our mind we would not leave until the characters came around. They finally did long after we finished eating, but I know had we paid before that we would have been rushed out. I'm not sure what the answer is, possibly have 2 characters each on opposite sides of the room going different directions so people can all enjoy them maybe?

we had heard about the food and the presentation on open fired pits and on skewers and boy we were extremely pleased with the entire dinner. they start you off with a few finger foods including wings with a few vegetables and they wow you with skewers of beef, pork and shrimp. (ALL YOU CAN EAT). If you don't bust, they top it all off with a fresh bread pudding with a warm sauce of butter and caramel and banana drizzled over it. I have had many desserts at Disney through the years, but this one is the best!!!
