Description: 'Ohana restaurant in Disney's Polynesian Resort offers a Character Dining breakfast and a Polynesian-inspired dinner menu. Both meals are served family-style—quite fitting since 'ohana means family in the Hawaiian language.Character Dining at BreakfastJoin Lilo and Stitch for 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast! Feel like you're a part of their intergalactic 'ohana when you join them for an American breakfast influenced by the exotic tastes of the Polynesian islands. Menu selections include scrambled eggs, Island-style fried potatoes, Hawaiian pork sausages, smoked bacon and a variety of fresh fruits and breads.Family-Style Polynesian DinnerWhen the doors open for dinner, the bellow of conch shells welcome you to 'Ohana. Adding to the island ambiance are tikis, storytellers and coconut races, in which children sweep coconuts with brooms across the hardwood floor down the center of the restaurant. The family fun continues as everyone is encouraged to play with hula hoops and dance to island music. The 'Ohana servers add to the festive atmosphere, as they dash between tikis and tropical greenery to bring plates of Polynesian specialties to your table. Choose from skewers roasted over an expansive 18-foot oak fire pit, and side dishes include stir-fried vegetables, fried dumplings, lo mein noodles and a salad starter.

“Best restaurant in disney”

Disney has many really good restaurants but this is disney dining at it's best. If you only ever eat at one disney restaurant this should be the one. It's family style which I am I fan of. The chicken is perfect. The grilled shrimp maybe the best in the world. We have been many time's and they never disappoint. Adding mac n cheese and french fries for the little ones was brilliant. This is a must do at disney!!!

“Simply a must for dinner!”
Reviewed April 25, 2014

Ohana is not to be missed for the delicious wide variety of food and atmosphere. Make your reservation months in advance and bring your appetite. We are a family of 4 and come here every time we visit Disney. Ohana is located inside the Polynesian hotel which is on the monorail. Once seated you start of with bread and salad (everything is served family style). This is followed by noodles, dumplings, vegetables. Next your server brings to the table skewers of grilled pork, steak, chicken and shrimp that are the most flavorful wood fire cooked meats you will have! Save room for dessert too! We were there rather late at night and got to watch the fireworks out the window which was an amazing treat during dinner. Waitstaff were excellent. When we checked in, there was a grumpy customer at the desk complaining about the wait time and the lady behind the desk handled her with a smile and an ear. We did have to wait about 15 minutes past our reservation time but it was still reasonable. Do make a reservation early before your trip or you won't get in here.

“A Must-do at Disney”
Reviewed April 24, 2014

My fiancee and I had a 8 am reservation for the character breakfast, and we had to wait for at least 25-30 minutes just to be seated. However, I would wait even longer just to have some more of that food! When we were seated, they sat us near a large window that allowed you to see the pool area and in the distance, Cinderella Castle. Having such a great table made up for the long wait to be seated. Our server was very friendly, and was singing a good bit of the time while he served our food, but when we needed anything he was nowhere to be found.

The food was the best part of the breakfeast (felt like a feast). More than plenty for the two of us. I am more of a bacon eater, and my fiancee prefers sausage over bacon. The breakfast sausage that Ohana serves is absolutely amazing, great taste and much larger than your run of the mill breakfast sausage links. Ohana also serves potatoes with the meal and they put a seasoning on them that makes them taste great. Although I loved the meal, my favorite thing about the breakfast is the POG (passionfruit, orange and guava) juice, but we only got one glass from out server, but I think that it was very busy and that's why he didn't come around often.

I would say that, overall, we had a great breakfast; however, I do believe that a family with little ones would enjoy this much more, because of the atmosphere and meeting characters. Out of the four that we saw, Pluto was the only one that visited us, which was fine as we didn't expect them to come visit us, as we were a couple and not a big family with little ones. This is definitely a Disney must-do!

“Ohana...Oh Yeah!”
Reviewed April 23, 2014

Best meal we've experienced in many Disney visits. We had a 7:45 seating and were seated shortly after. We were seated and our host loaded us up with bread, drinks, then chicken wings and pot-stickers. All were seasoned well and very tasty. Salad was brought and our salad eaters (3 of our 6 people) enjoyed it. Then we all dug into skewer after skewer of shrimp, chicken, steak, and pork. All were amazing. The servers will gladly give you as much as you like, so be sure not to be shy...if you want more, get more!

I've seen a few negative comments about the live performer and the children's "coconut racing." During our meal, the performer was very nice, sang one song at our table then moved along. There were a good number of children that enjoyed their race. I know it's a little cheesy, but it was enjoyable for the families and their kids. If you want a more formal atmosphere then select another dining option. This is family friendly, with a constant stream of food, drink, and people...know this before you go.

Our server, Joe, worked hard covering a large area...he was very attentive to our needs and hustled to keep us filled with food and drinks. To end our meal, we were able to take in the fireworks...a nice compliment to the awesome bread pudding/ice cream dessert.

Will definitely be back at Ohana next trip!!!
