Description: 'Ohana restaurant in Disney's Polynesian Resort offers a Character Dining breakfast and a Polynesian-inspired dinner menu. Both meals are served family-style—quite fitting since 'ohana means family in the Hawaiian language.Character Dining at BreakfastJoin Lilo and Stitch for 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast! Feel like you're a part of their intergalactic 'ohana when you join them for an American breakfast influenced by the exotic tastes of the Polynesian islands. Menu selections include scrambled eggs, Island-style fried potatoes, Hawaiian pork sausages, smoked bacon and a variety of fresh fruits and breads.Family-Style Polynesian DinnerWhen the doors open for dinner, the bellow of conch shells welcome you to 'Ohana. Adding to the island ambiance are tikis, storytellers and coconut races, in which children sweep coconuts with brooms across the hardwood floor down the center of the restaurant. The family fun continues as everyone is encouraged to play with hula hoops and dance to island music. The 'Ohana servers add to the festive atmosphere, as they dash between tikis and tropical greenery to bring plates of Polynesian specialties to your table. Choose from skewers roasted over an expansive 18-foot oak fire pit, and side dishes include stir-fried vegetables, fried dumplings, lo mein noodles and a salad starter.

“Loved the characters, breakfast okay”
Reviewed November 29, 2013

We did the character breakfast with Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto. We loved seeing the characters. It went very smoothly to eat breakfast and wait for them to come around. I never thought I would see my three year old sit in his chair for a whole hour, but he did. The food was okay. Bacon, sausage, eggs, juice, fruit, bread. The sausage was very flavorful. The food was otherwise pretty straightforward and it was the characters that made it a really fun morning!

“Family Style Dining”
Reviewed November 28, 2013

Our party of twelve was seated pretty close to our reservation time. Waitress explained that everything was All You Can Eat, and she meant it. Started with salad, then hors d o'veres, the main course consisted of Chicken, Pork, Steak and Shrimp. They bring it our on a big skewer and you get some of everything. Then dessert comes. Wow. Dont eat at all during the day if you go to Ohana. Ukelele player walked around the floor and was entertaining. There was a coconut race for the little kids. They were given brooms to push or pull the coconuts around the restaurant. It was fun. Its hard to get to unless you are staying at a Disney Resort. Thankfully, our Garmen did its job.Ohana means Family in Hawaiian, so the food was served family style.

“Great Family Dinner with unlimited meat skewers”
Reviewed November 28, 2013 via mobile

We had a family dinner for 9 on the Disney dining plan and thought the meal was one of our best. We started with fresh coconut pineapple bread and whipped butter followed by a great fresh green salad with mandarin oranges and papaya in a light vinaigrette which was yummy! Next course was glazed chicken wings and potsticker dumplings with sides of egg noodles and mixed veggies. Throughout the meal a constant parade of chicken, pork, steak, and shrimp on skewers was brought by and served as needed similar to the Brazilian steak houses. Dessert was pineapple coconut bread pudding and vanilla ice cream with a caramel sauce for pouring. All adults and kids were very happy and the kids enjoyed leis and a hula lesson during the meal. We had a great experience and will return. The food quality is in line with Whispering Canyon Cafe and much better than the character buffets.

“Family of 14”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

Food was great, especially the steak and shrimp. Banana Pudding was just as great. Service average. Dissapointed they didn't do the coconut races for the kids. Had a ukalale player for entertainment and he did some things with the kids, but they had more fun with their parents iPhone's. Took the monorail from Magic Kingdom to resort and then back to Magic Kingdom for fireworks. Probably would have been better to stay and watch from the beach, but oh well. Great choice for value with Dining Plan

“Outstanding...this time.”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We tried 'Ohana dinner back in 2011 and while it was pretty good...it didn't live up to the hype. On the flipside, our 2013 visit back in September lived up to every bit of that hype and then some.

We were seated almost immediately, they were really on top of our allergy issues this time, the service was outstanding, and the food was awesome this time. My mom and I also got to get up with all those celebrating birthdays and got some birthday recognition.

All in all, this was just a wonderful dinner...I just wish it were always like this. As we know from our previous visit- it's kind of luck of the draw. Still- very happy we had an excellent experience this time.
