“Very beautiful scenery!”
Reviewed October 30, 2013 via mobile

I took my wife here after brunch, and I must say the recent projects to revive this already beautiful area only make me want to go back more! Even though you see homely people sitting around, the scenery just makes you focus on other things. I'm so glad they got the water fountain working again, this is the parks staple piece of scenery.

“A very scenic, relaxing stroll around the lake.”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

This is a very popular Downtown Orlando attraction. It is always busy with people enjoying the beautiful trees, the lake, the Swans and the fountain, among other things. I'm not sure, but I think it's about a mile walk around the park. The walkway is completely paved so it is a very comfortable walk. Bikes, skateboards and roller skates are not permitted so walkers don't have to worry about being run over or bumped by someone coming up fast behind them.

There are a lot of joggers and dog walkers that use the park, so you do need to be aware of their presence. The large fountain out in the lake is a recognizable icon for the park. It is very nice and provides a nice subject for photographs. The large old trees around the lake do so as well. They are very majestic and extremely interesting with how the large limbs go off in all directions, even down. They provide an expansive canopy of shade which is much appreciated on hot sunny days.

There are public restroom facilities that are available from early morning until late at night. Bench seating is located all along the walking path so you may stop and rest on your excursion.

There are a multitude of Swans, both white and black that make Lake Eola their home. There are also a lot of ducks and other birds that live in the area. The Park does ask that if you want to feed the swans, to use the correct type of food that will not cause harm to the animals. There are coin operated feeder stations where you can buy the proper type of food for them. This area attracts many different kinds of birds, so there are plenty of photo ops available for nature lovers.

There is a small cafe/bar on property with nice covered outside seating. It is right next to the Swan Boat rental dock, so there is always something to watch while grabbing a drink or some lunch.

There is metered streetside parking, as well as a large public (pay) parking garage a block away, so there is plenty of parking available. On the weekends, they often have vendors at the park with tents set up to provide an eclectic assortment of goods for the park visitors.

There is an ampitheater donated by Disney where concerts, presentations, and award ceremonys, etc. can be held. Very nice bench seating is provided for the audience.

The park is home to many annual events held in Orlando and deserves to be on every visitors list of things to see and do when visiting The City Beautiful.

“My favorite park in the area.”
Reviewed October 21, 2013

I proposed to my fiance here, now we're married and I give some credit to the beauty and serenity of this park! All jokes aside, this really is an amazing place. By coincidence, or maybe not, the very day and hour I proposed to her there were people getting married on the opposite side of the park. We've been here many times since.

“Nice and peaceful park”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

We took a nice stroll around the park. There's a lake in the middle with swans and turtles and a fountain. Benches and restrooms are also available. There's also a small café where you can buy drinks and light fare. You can also rent a paddle boat and paddle around the lake. Parking is on the street and the parking meter is strictly enforced (we were late getting back to our car by 3 minutes and got a ticket). People were walking, jogging and simply enjoying the park.

“Peaceful wonderful park”
Reviewed October 6, 2013 via mobile

I went there today, with my husband and we have a lot of fun.
The swans and turtles that came to us looking for snacks, squirrels everywere that interact with the people were a must.
This is a little far from kissimmee but worth the trip. I never mind that in Orlando's city center there was a park like that cause as usual we only think about Disneyworld... Families, dogs, children, stuff to buy and to snack around a magnificent lake surrounded by trees and pedestrian paths to go strolling.
It was a nice sunday to remember...
