Owner description: Lake Eola Park is located in the heart of Downtown Orlando. The sidewalk that circles the lake is 0.9 miles in length, making it easy for visitors to keep track of their walking or running distances. Other activities available to park visitors include renting swan-shaped paddle boats, feeding the live swans and other birds inhabiting the park, seeing a concert or a play in the Walt Disney Amphitheater, grabbing a bite to eat at Relax Grill on Lake Eola or relaxing amid beautiful flower beds and a spectacular view of Orlando's skyline. Parking is free on Eola Drive on the east side of the park and there is metered parking on Central Boulevard and Rosalind Avenue. There is also street parking in Eola Heights and Thornton Park, a two to five block walk to the park. You can also park in any of the garages within a few blocks of the park. These include the Post Parkside parking garage at Osceola Avenue and East Central Boulevard; the Paramount/Publix parking garage at Lake Avenue and East Central Boulevard; and the Library parking garage at 112 East Central Boulevard. Please note: swans can get sick eating bread and popcorn. Visitors to the park can feed them lettuce, spinach, duck food pellets or buy food from the new swan feeders.

Farmer's market closes later than most. (4pm) Plenty of food vendors and they have musical entertainment with benches and tables to enjoy your food. Beautiful park and great for families and couples

Sunday is a great day to visit this park. We parked in the carpark in Thornton Park. It was an ideal place to park as we could explore Thornton Park which was full of young "well heeled" locals having their Sunday brunch in trendy restaurants (Hues and Dexters looked the best of them)

After wondering around Thornton Park we then strolled around the lovely lake Eola which took us about half a hour. It was full of families, joggers and dog walkers. (As well as a few down and outs but they were not threatening) There was a lot of wildlife on the lake- swans and other water birds. The swan pedal boats looked fun and quite easy to manoeuvre. We then went round the quite large farmers market which was full of interesting stalls including arts and crafts.

Downtown Orlando was surprisingly nice with clean streets and a relaxed atmosphere although I expect it's pretty busy and bustling on a week day.

If you visit on the weekends they have a farmers market that at times has some music and plenty to eat. Definitely a nice place to look around. The park is always clean and very well maintained.

I love going to Lake Eola park. It's a beautiful lake with lots of swans and other water birds. There is also an ampitheatre in which they have performances occasionally. And they have a playground for children, as well as nearby restaurants.
