Owner description: Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is an all-you-care-to-eat, family-style luau featuring hula dancing and a fire-knife performer at Disney's Polynesian Resort.Situated on the Seven Seas Lagoon, the open-air covered dining theater provides a comfortable setting for authentic music and dances, with beautiful costumes, irresistable rhythms and the show-stopping fire-knife dance! The many nations of the South Pacific unite in an evening of spellbinding magic that tells the tale of a native girl returning to her people and her traditions. You'll almost believe you've been transplanted to the tropics as you and your loved ones share platters of authentic foods such as barbequed pork ribs, roast chicken, fresh pineapple, salad with mango poppy seed dressing garnished with Mandarin oranges, Polynesian-style rice and seasonal vegetables. Save room for the chocolate ""mouse"" volcano! (Parents of finicky little ones, fear not: There's a limited children's menu). Beer, wine and soft drinks are included for Guests 21 years of age or older (picture ID required). Celebrations are acknowledged in the show.

The service was ok -- the server seemed too stressed and rushed, almost sweaty. The show was so uninteresting we left after 15 minutes. The food was not good. Overall, the overarching theme is disappointment. We were actually considerably more entertained by the fire dancer at the main entrance while we waited for a taxi to get out of dodge, as fast as we could muster.

We have been to Disney World many times, but this is the first time we attended the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. You follow a path from the Polynesian Resort and check in at a host podium. You have your picture taken, and then walk to the waiting area. The waiting area has a cash bar and is in a grove of trees filled with tiny white lights- beautiful! Then you are ushered in and seated according to whatever category of ticket you purchased. All the seats are fairly close to the stage. The show was entertaining, and the dancers were wonderful - especially the fire dancer! The only reason I am giving this experience 4 stars instead of 5, is the food was just ok. It included roast chicken, rice, veggies, pork, Hawaiian rolls and dessert. One other warning, the show is pretty loud. If you have young children who are sensitive to noise, you may want to wait until they are a little older.

First night at the Polynesian so it is a must do to get into spirit. Was a fun show certain parts were very kid orientated. Fire show was great. The food is not bad. All you can eat. Some people expect unimaginable perfection at Disney. Was a fun enjoyable evening. Would do it again.

I was able to get tickets online just a few days in advance of this great dinner show back in October 2012. We bought the best seating tickets available but have to say there wasn't a bad seat in the house. The real highlight of this event was the awesome food. There was two of us but enough food for at least 3 or 4 people. The salad dressing was so delicious as was the bread. Chicken and ribs was served as the main meal and was prepared well and tasted delicious. For dessert we all were treated to a "volcano", lava cake. As we ate the show was going on and was very enjoyable. They took breaks during the show for people to enjoy their meals too. The show was well done and the fire dancer was excellent. We are planning on going again next month and I am very much looking forward to it.

Took my two kids, ages 5 and 7. The food options were unappealing to them and they went for the backup kid options. I didn't really like the food either, but ate it anyway. Dry rice, ok roasted chicken. No ribs at my show, only dry pork loin. The show was boring except for the fire guy. I couldn't follow the story of the rest of the show, it was a total disappointment. Kids thought the dancing was cool, but honestly this is a waste of time and money.
