We had been WG owners since the year 2005. The resort was almost empty because the pool was closed. Our goal was to rest and relax, so, we decided to stay at the Palace. The two room suite was in an excellent condition, the resort premises as well. The staff was friendly and well trained.

The resort location is superb. The only downsize was our "owner presentation update". At first the "rep" was friendly and informative. He became upset when we decided against "upgrading" our unit; where are the promised gifts? Anyway, the other admin staff was very professional.

Timeshare ownership has its advantages. You need to understand the "system" and obtain the best of it. Remember, timeshare is not a real estate investment; be aware of cheap sales men. Anyway, there are in every industry and corner.

Room Tip: Room 904B. Nice lake, "Wet & Wild" and night "fireworks" view. Mattresses ar...

We are honored to have you as part of the Westaget family for such a long time. Your feedback is realy valuable since it provides us with the necessary tools to improve as needed. We apologize on behalf of the sales department as this is not our standard of service. We look forward to your future family visits! Mika

The hotel is a true value. Great for a facility as it can sleep 6. Also good if you need to share a room with a colleague for business travel since both bedrooms and bathrooms are private.

Every room is a 2BR suite. 1 BR has a King bed with a Jacuzzi and bathroom with stall shower. the 2nd BR has 2 twins with a Large shower and double sink.
The middle of suite is equipped with a full kitchen and a spacious living-room area with a pull-out couch.
I prefer the view of the lagoon at the rear of the hotel as the view is nicer.
Some of the rooms are more outdated than others.
The pool is nice, clean and open late.
My only criticisms are that WiFi isn't always consistent and that the cleaning crew sometimes needs to be coaxed into doing a more thorough job.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with updates furnishings as some are a bit dated. I prefer the back side of the hote...

Thank you for sharing your vacation experience with us. We are excited that you enjoyed our fully equipped rooms, as well as our pool late hours. Also, the exceptional lake view is surely a breath taking. Because our property is a timeshare one, the cleaning service works a little different than a regular hotel. Our team waits for your next visit! Micky

We stayed here over the Memorial day weekend but had to check out at midnight on our last night as there was no place to park in the hotel parking lot after returning from Universal Studios. We were told to park in an abandoned parking lot across the street and it would be "monitored" by their parking lot security guard. We drove across to this other parking lot and it was very dark (no lighting whatsoever), and had a row of large shrubs between the road and parking lot, so it would be easy for someone to break into your car or vandalize it without ever being noticed. We decided to check out early instead and argue for a refund for the last night.

The rooms are small and designed poorly. The photos make them look much larger. Do a search on the hotel and view a you tube video tour to get a better idea of the actual room size and layout. The "master bedroom" (with a king bed) has a single bathroom sink IN the room itself and only the toilet and a small 30" square shower are behind the bathroom door. But in the secondary bedroom (i.e. kid's room), the entire bathroom is separated from the bedroom, it's much larger, has a two-sink vanity and a large 6 ft shower. Because our first room had twin beds in the second bedroom, we ended up switching to a room with a queen bed in the second bedroom where my wife and I slept and we gave our daughter the master bedroom and king bed so we could have a the extra room in the bathroom. Not to mention, having the bathroom sink in the room itself makes it difficult to use the bathroom at night without waking your partner. Even our 10-year-old daughter commented that the shower was very small after using it and she couldn't see how we could ever fit in it (and we are thin/average sized people).

After switching to a room with queen bed in the second bedroom, we realized that one of the walls in our new room must have housed some drain pipes. It sounded like a river running down the inside wall of our bedroom all night long. It didn't keep us up at night, but I've never experienced that before at any other hotel.

The A/C is either in heat or cool mode. If the room gets too cold and you raise the temperature, it turns the heat on until you are sweating. Then you drop the temperature and it runs the A/C until you are freezing again. It's never turns off when it reaches its setpoint.

Wi-Fi works fine but is $10/day. Unfortunately, that's $10 for ONE DEVICE, which is ridiculous for today's connected families and the fact that most hotels offer free wireless internet access. I was working on my business emails one night while my wife tried to look online for restaurants in the area but had to wait because it told her only one one device at a time was allowed (we later saw this confirmed on their literature).

The pool was *very* crowded during the day. Apparently, the person who designed the size of the parking lot also designed (or under-designed) the size of the pool for the number of rooms. Or, perhaps the place was just overloaded because they were running a special to sell timeshares that weekend. We avoided all of that, but we fear that it may have brought in a lot of people who were looking for a free weekend at the hotel just for sitting through their Saturday-morning sales pitch. From what I've read in other reviews of this hotel, these sales "meetings" are common, so I can only imagine the place is always like this. We also experienced a few teens roaming the parking lot kicking the plastic lane markers and trying to break them off their pedestals. This didn't make me feel very good about parking my car there.

The workers we spoke to were courteous and helpful, but unfortunately that doesn't make up for the other flaws we experienced at this hotel. We're still waiting to see if we'll get our money back for the night we didn't stay, but I know for certain we'll never stay there again.

UPDATE: Spoke to the manager on duty, but it was no use. Apparently they feel that the "overflow" parking across a four-lane divided highway with no traffic light or crosswalk is an acceptable parking arrangement for you and your family when returning to your hotel late at night. Regardless of my disappointment in their decision, this manager was obviously trained that it is more important to save the company's money than it is to satisfy a disappointed customer. According to him, we checked out late -- no refunds -- no discussion. End of story.

Room Tip: Be aware of the bathroom situation if you're a couple bringing kids. The master bedroom (with t...

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent stay. We apologize that you encountered issues during your vacation. We want to assure you that we care about each of our guests and we do everything we can to accommodate them. Unfortunately, with the size of our resort parking can become an issue and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that may cause. In regards to your concerns with our Wi-Fi, this amenity is offered complimentary to all owners but is still accessible to all other guests for a fee which can be settled at the front desk. Once again we apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay and the frustration it caused. Guest satisfaction is our top priority. We hope that you will come back to visit soon.

We paid a short, overnight visit to the Towers last week as a base for a park day. Booked online. Usual high quality accomodation & pleasant, efficient staff.
It was our 3rd stay at Westgate Palace Towers & we don't think of staying anywhere else on I Drive now. Time your booking well & you'll be delighted at the rates charged for the quality offered.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view room - the higher the better. Fabulous sunsets & nightime lights.

I found the place neat and very clean, the bedrooms were very clean and the beds comfortable
we only stayed two days but worth the money. my only problem is the extra $50.00 they hold for the time your staying there. this is on top of cost of the room.. I did get the money back at the end of my stay, however, if your counting on a certain budget for your vacation, and now an extra $50.00 is not available to you to use, then this could be a problem.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the resort to be neat, clean, and comfortable. We do require a $50 security deposit hold on your credit card. The deposit is just to ensure that the unit is returned in the same condition as before you checked in. The deposit is released back to your card once you’ve checked out if no issues have arisen. We do apologize if this was not explained and caused any inconveniences with your family. We’re so glad you chose us and we hope to see you again.

Stayed for a week and everything was very good, I did a pre-check-in online and it too me less than 3 minutes to get my rom key. Clean room, always found parking and easy access to the highway and parks. his is my third time there and once you are clear with the staff that you are not interested in timesharing upgrade or new purchases, they pull back in a respectful manner.

Room Tip: I was given lake view high floor, excellent
