As all Fogo De Chao, Orlando location was excellent. They have the best cuts of meat. The staff & management was excellent also.

Some friends rate Fogo De Chao in another city as their favorite restaurant, so we had to try the one in Orlando when we were there last week. The place was pretty busy on a Tuesday night, but with reservations we were seated within a few minutes.

For those not familiar with the concept, this Brazilian steakhouse is based on churrasco, the method once used by gauchos of skewering pieces of meat and roasting them over an open fire. One doesn't need a menu (there isn't one) as there is a salad bar and meat. There is a brochure on the table explaining the various cuts of meat. Advised to go easy on the salad bar, we fortunately did.

There is a small disc at each plate, red on one side and green on the other to indicate when you need more meat, and the wait staff is continually coming by with the various selections, slicing off pieces at the desired degree of doneness. At least 5 different cuts of beef plus pork, lamb, chicken and sausage, all done perfectly and all you can eat. We shared a dessert but probably should have skipped it. The coffee was excellent.

The staff was most attentive (probably changed our plates at least three times) and everyone kept checking to make sure everything was up to snuff. With a restaurant recently opened in Boston, we won't have to travel for our next visit. And we won't have lunch that day.

I had been to this chain before (in Washington D.C.) and knew the food would be great and a good, especially since I was dining with three ravenous guys. The food was as great as I expected, but the service at this location was top notch. The wait staff anticipated our needs and we never needed to track someone down for anything. The bacon wrapped chicken and signature sirloin were my favorites.

When you turn your card to green, expect to be greeted by friendly Gouchos delivering wonderfully prepared meats to your plate (many things wrapped in bacon... who knew!). Salad bar looked good too, but don't make the rookie mistake of filling up there; the win here is the meat! Staff was wonderful and so were the desserts. Make sure to have a Caipirinha (National drink of Brazil); they are almost as good as the ones I had in Brazil last year. Call ahead for a reservation as this Orlando restaurant gets hopping!

I love Brazilian steakhouses, so we went during our last visit. The meat was good, cooked like you want it and there is plenty of it. The salad bar was great for my wife and kids who are vegetarian. Prices are pretty much the same for any Brazilian steakhouse, however, their kids meals are half price only for the full dinner not just for the salad bar. So be prepared to pay full price for the salad bar for your kids. This is apparently company policy for all the Fogo de Chao restaurants and seems overpriced for our small kids (6-8).
