“Cypress Pointe Getting better and better”
Reviewed September 8, 2011

We love going to Cypress Pointe. They have improved everything on property. Almost all units at Cypress Pointe Resort and Cypress Pointe Grande Villas have been remodeled and are beautifully decorated. The units were clean and well maintained. If we had a need maintenence or house keeping came right out.

We've stayed at this resort several times, and have always enjoyed our visits. This time we had a two bedroom suite and it seemed huge in comparison to the one bedroom suites we normally reserve. We like the convenience of having a kitchen available, and usually stop at the Winn Dixie supermarket one block over to stock up on some groceries--however, the resort's on-site deli is pretty good for a quick meal if you don't feel like going out, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Although we didn't use the pool during this visit, there were quite a few people who seemed to be enjoying it, and there's a nice jacuzzi hot tub that I'll have to try next time we stay there.

Can always count on this place. We have visited this resort for 10 years. It keeps getting better. Great pool, family activities, proximity to theme parks and not large like the Disney resorts ( less people mean more peace and quiet)....

My family and i stayed at the Cypress Point Grand Villas for the first time the last weeks of August 2011 in a I bed, 4 person condo which was very nice. If the original 4 people stayed it would have been too small but as there were 3 of us it was fine. The resort itself is wonderful and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely go back as near to Disney, shops and very good restaurants. Very clean and well appointed.

A total disappointment… They should be a rated 1 start instead of 3. We stayed at Cypress Point Resort from August 20 -27 and will “never stay there again. First, we arrived very early in the morning "2:30 am" due to a late flight, received very poor customer service at check in and was sent on a wild goose chase to find our unit. When we finally got to the unit, I discovered that the floor in the living room and the furniture was filthy… I asked for a room change due to issues and was told that I would have to pay a $75 cleaning fee. I waited until 9:00 am to talk to a manager and we were moved to another room in another building which had the same dirty and out-dated furniture. I gave up! The new unit was also infested with cockroaches which freaked my children and me out…so nasty. Our door lock broke one night as we were heading out to dinner and we had to wait more than a hour for them to repair it. The water stunk, the pool was dirty, the so called game room will cost you .50 to $1.00 per game. I could go on, but bottom line is, don’t stay at this resort. It is dirty and a rip-off.

We had stayed previously at this well located resort and had commented in our review on the great location (just past the North entrance to Disney), how easy it is to get from there to anywhere (it is near I4 but Turkey Lake Road is a great road to use to get to Sea World, Universal or Mall at Millenia) and how big the units are.

This time we had my daughter and her husband and daughter so there was 5 of us. A 3 bed unit (A+B) has 2 massive ensuite bedrooms, and a further double bedroom with a bathroom next door. In between was a well equipped kitchen, a dining area and a very comfortable lounge. Our unit had a lovely view of the lake.

How had it got better? Upgrading is in progress and we were lucky enough to be in an upgraded unit. New granite worktops in the kitchen and bathrooms were fantastic. The TV in the living area had surround sound style speakers. Altogether better.

Problems and negatives. All the lights on the stairwell went out one night but that was soon fixed. Ridiculous charge for wi-fi and for use of the in room safes. And this is another large resort which makes no attempt to recycle bottles, cans newspapers etc. No solar panels either.

Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Orlando for a Disney holiday

My husband and I stayed at the Cypress Point Grand Villas for the first time Nov.26 - Dec. 3, 2010. We had a 1 bedroom condo which was very nice, but as read in other reviews is very small. It was quite fine for the two of us but could not sleep 4 comfortably if needed. The resort itself is wonderful and the staff was very friendly. We are going back again this year (November 2011). We are bringing friends and family so we booked (3) two-bedroom condos and are very excited and looking forward to staying there again.
