They harry potter stuff was ok. The long lines were terrible. We had a unlimited fast pass (by spending way too much money to stay at the Hardrock Hotel (see my 1-star review there!)) and boy was I glad. Now, we were there the Friday after Thanksgiving but the lines were pretty much 15 minutes for EVERYTHING (for us) and over an hour for the normals. I'd NEVER want to wait in an hour line for a single thing there - perhaps the Simpson's ride but that's about it.

The ET ride and the Twiter ride need to go away - they haven't been updated since the 80s and it shows. I didn't go but everyone got soaked on Jurassic Park - not something you expect on a log flume - you expect to get wet - not soaked.

Overall the parks are both laid out poorly - 10 minute walk from ride to ride every time. Poor signage doesn't help.

Aside from the amazing Harry Potter attractions, universal had some awesome roller coasters and other attractions. We had a blast at this park.

My boys are huge Harry Potter fans and we loved Hogmead! I thought it was very well done...from Honeydukes to The Three Broomsticks! The highlight of the trip was the boys getting their wands at Olivander's. We were the first in line and boys loved going to the shop windows to cast spells! My main complaint was you needed to buy a park to park ticket to travel to Diagon Alley. We most of our time in Harry Potter World and recommend at least 2 days if you want to see or ride everything else in Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.

Visited as part of a short break to orlando. Bought a 1 day 2 park pass with front of the queue passes as well. The cost of the day for 2 adults with a drinks package, dining package and front of the queue passes was not cheap!! Avoid the offer of cheap tickets in the mall etc, since you need to go to a timeshare pitch....
This theme park was just getting built when we were last in Florida, and it is great. Spider-Man is really good, and the water ride in Jurassic park similarly good but clearly, the jewel in the crown is Harry Potter. I am no big fan of the potter movies, but this attraction was outstanding. The rest was also hugely enjoyable with the exception of poseidons fury, which despite the dramatic entrance, was poor in comparison.
The catering was ok, but not great, and you had to seek out the drinks dispenser locations as they were not always obvious.
Overall experience? Excellent!

Universal studios just gets better and better
You may have to wait to go on the newer attractions, especially Harry Potter.
