“So much better than Disney!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

Great rides if you buy the express pass, it will cut down the lines by 50-80% but there is a fee for it! This enables you to pack in as much as you can in a relatively short space of time. We waited for the Harry Potter Ride but not really for anything else. The food is pretty expensive but the rides are better than those at any Disney World park. The Hulk is amazing, duelling dragons is great, Spider-Man is great, Cat in the Hat is great too, flight of the hippo griff is brilliant, Jurassic Park is ultra wet! This park has lots of appeal but is expensive. $722.00 for a family of three (2 adults and 1 7 year old child) with access to both parks and express passes. It isn't much more expensive to buy more days! The real result is that we created some great family memories!

“Great family adventure”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

My family and I love Universal's Islands of Adventure. We have been many times and try to get there once a year. Our last trip was over Halloween 2012. We had park to park access tickets because we like the convenience of going about as we want. Since we have been a few times we tend to know what we want to see and make an effort to stop at those rides. There is many food options in the park and they also offer a meal deal. The meal deal was worth it for us on our visit but depending on your food preference it may not be worth it for others. We purchased all of our tickets together that included 3 days park to park, 1 day meal deal, 1 night @ Halloween Horror Nights and a behind the scene tour of the haunted houses. It's also key to research your trip because if you go during peak seasons expect longer wait times for rides just as non peak times the lines will be shorter.
Overall I think this park brings a little something for everyone.

The queues are absolutely no joke, would return again and pay for a shorter admission ticket, maybe three days and upgrade to fast pass. You will never get the life you have lost in those queues, it was really hard work!

“You got to love being a tourist!”
Reviewed August 16, 2013

Great fun time at Islands of Adventure. Finally got to go through the world of Harry Potter, very well done. The only complaint for Universal is they need to improve on their ticketing and the time it takes to get inside the park......entry lines are way too long and too time consuming....you sort of start off on a bad note but once in, the fun begins.
