Front desk highly professional and ready to bend over to please you. Rooms very clean, elevators as well, beds comfortable, bathrooms sparkling. Plentiful Free breakfast with nice selection of items. Another freebie: 5:30 kick back is a nice addition to your stay. Parking area nice and clean with plenty of space. Value? It depends how much you pay. In my book rates over $130 are borderline because you can find comparable Comfort Inn & Suites, several blocks away for much less, and extra discount for seniors, not always the case with Drury. Outdoor pool is small, outside hot spa bubble bath ok, Fitness room ok as well. And that would conclude my review. Would I recommend Drury Inn in Orlando? YES, but............buts presented above.

Our family (2 adults, kids 17 and 9 years old) spent 5 days in a suite at this hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews. We had ample space w/ 2 queen beds in one room and a sleeper sofa in the other room. We were only a little over 2 miles from Universal Studios (and shuttle available to there, although we didn't use it due to timing). Kennedy Space Center was about an hour's drive.

The staff were all very friendly (manager checking w/ guests at breakfast to make sure things were going well) and helpful (we developed a minor sink drainage issue which I mentioned one morning and it had been repaired by our return that afternoon). Check-in and check-out were a breeze w/ the final tab emailed to us the morning of check-out (they'd have been happy to print it at the front desk, also). There were no hidden extra charges like many hotels tack on at the last minute (e.g., "facility fee", etc.).

There were many extras which were included: high-speed wifi everywhere (and I used Speedtest.net which showed speeds ranging between 5 Mb/sec and 20 Mb/sec symmetrical upload and download speeds - very easy to stream Netflix or stream from our home Tivo 2900 miles away), free long distance calling (continental only? - didn't try otherwise), a nice breakfast included each day of the stay (waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, cereals, juices, coffee/tea), a "kick-back" snack from 5:30 to 7 pm if you happened to be in the hotel rather than out and about (hot dogs, pasta, meatballs, pretzels, even some free wine for adults), free HBO w/ a separate hi-def TV in each of the 2 rooms in our suite. The room had a mini-fridge and microwave, also.

The pool was pretty cool - can enter it from either the inside pool (a bit small) or the outside pool (decent size), but the pools are connected by a wide area which you swim under to go between them. Nice hot tub outside. Exercise room available, but didn't use it. There was a room next to the front desk where you could print boarding passes or web-purchased tickets using their 4 computers and 2 laser printers - also no extra charge.

A Whole Foods store is across the street and you can pay for the buffet there or a huge McDonald's (including video arcade, play structure, and more menu choices than I'd ever seen at a McD's) is about a mile away. We didn't explore local eating options much w/ our day trips taking us to Universal, Gatorland, airboat ride, Kennedy Space Center.

We've generally stayed at Embassy Suites and found this to be comparable in quality and, when the extras are included, more reasonably priced. I will be searching for Drury Inn & Suites when our travels take us to locations they serve.

Room Tip: You can ask for a higher floor w/ a view of the Disney World fireworks and they'll be happy to a...

We spent 2 nts at this hotel as part of a universal Studios package. We chose this hotel to get early park admittance to Harry Potter and b/c it was close. We had a nice friendly check in and the extras were appreciated. We liked drinks and kids enjoyed kickback food although no choices for gluten free diets except carrots and celery. Breakfast was great for kids but I was again limited to eggs only. We did have to drive to parks and couldn't use universals shuttle as it came after park opened. Room was large, very quiet and 2 queen beds were so COMFY!! The pool was busy but we got seats however it was chilly in the afternoon outside so inside was a better place to sit. Kids enjoyed hot tub as well. We printed our airline boarding passes in their computer room which was convenient. We did notice that the young woman with black hair at night reception was not helpful. We asked for a map which she told us to get in the morning. We also had to check our valuables at front desk boxes as there were none in room but a minor inconvenience. All other staff were very nice. Housekeeping was great too. This is a clean budget hotel which is newer. If you want fancy or themed hotels, stay onsite at the parks and pay lots more.

Room Tip: Our room on 4th floor was very quiet and comfy but overlooked highway so not scenic but we didn'...

Tried this hotel for 2 nights
based on Trip advisor reviews and rating.
The new hotel was fairly clean. The morning breakfast was very good and plentiful. Evening kickback wore thin after 2 nights. The fitness center and pool area were both tiny based on the number of rooms in the hotel. Large Outdoor uJacuzzi and In door pool were a plus. Very comfy bed and large size room. This hotel is not near much of anything to walk to. You need transportation. Got Wb rate, excellent service. Would stay again if I could get a lower rate, since others staying there were paying somewhat less

We stayed at Drury Inn/Orlando from 2/4 to 2/13/14 and found the staff exceptional in their willingness to serve. Everyone was so friendly & seemed to work well together and so happy. We would especially like to give Vicky, on the day shift, an extra pat on the back. She was an absolute ray of sunshine & so pleasant. We noticed how she stepped up to help everyone. Every employer should be fortunate enough to have a team player like her. Thank you. Hines Family

Love, love, love Drury! After a week of suffering through Marriot high priced low quality hotels it was like coming home again when we pulled in to Drury. Seems other hotel chain managers should be required to stay in a Drury so you can train them how to provide excellent service. Always clean, included food and cocktails, very handy location, large rooms that are actual 2 room suites. What more can I say? Your search is over...book this hotel.
