love this hotel. first time I've ever stayed in Drury hotels. very clean everybody was very friendly and professional. love the fact that they don't serve you just a hot breakfast buffet but you get an early dinner buffet to at no extra charge and its good food. my kids really enjoyed the indoor outdoor swimming pool and hot tub.I enjoyed having the laundry room close to the room that we stayed in very convenient, at the same time it was very quiet never heard any of the other guest will definitely stay again and again.

I had a three day break, and stayed in this hotel, it was clean and tidy the staff were very helpful and included were breakfast and evening meal, both buffet style , every thing was fresh and included in the very good rate, not to forget the three evening drinks from the bar per adult .the room had two flat screen televisions microwave and refrigerator . The lobby also had a small store supplying snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices .The indoor/outdoor pool was very nice along with the gym. The location is six minute drive to sea world and universal studios, about one block from international drive, with lots of dinning places within walking distance if required them. I will defiantly be coming back here for my next stay.

This hotel was built just last year, so everything is clean & tidy, it is in a great location right on the corner of Sand Lake Road & International Drive, the East & West slip roads onto the Interstate 4 are close by, yet the traffic cant be heard from the rooms. Restaurants & shops are within walking distance, Good Breakfast with top branded foods, (which often isn't the case in most US hotels) The kick back beverages & snacks between 5pm & 7pm was wonderful & certainly save us money on eating out EVERY night! The staff are very friendly - especially the manager in the mornings who cant do enough whilst eating breakfast, and the friendly waitress Vicky who was always at hand!

This is a new, well maintained property on Sand Lake Road. Note, this area is very crowded traffic wise so keep that in mind. However, there is a back entrance/exit to the property which helps you get out to the light.

Anyway, check-in was quick/easy and the lobby is bright and large. They have soda refreshments available 24/7 and a big, nice breakfast in the mornings. They also are supposed to have popcorn in the evenings but more times than not it was empty. My wife asked several times if they would make more and the front desk always said yes. Yet they never did. The last night we saw patrons running the machine themselves.

The rooms are very nice and well appointed. And the rooms are very quiet with little traffic noise given the location. We would definitely stay here again.

The staff was very courteous. The Managers had non stop smiles on their faces. The evening snacks were just what we needed to regain stregth after hours in the theme parks. Room was very clean and comfortable.

We arrived in Orlando pretty late in the evening, and my husband wondered if the hotel would have room service. I just assumed it would, since it's so highly rated on trip advisor. However, upon arrival, we realized that the hotel was not quite at the caliber we'd expect from other highly rated tripadvisor hotels. We walked into the hotel at precisely the same time as ~60 pre-teen girls. Thankfully, they weren't checking in and so we were only inconvenienced by taking the stairs due to the long elevator line. Also, the hotel staff assured us we weren't staying on the same floor as them (he seemed mildly annoyed as well).

Otherwise, the hotel was fine but not quite what I expected. I had forgotten that most people staying in this area are families with screaming kids so the bar is probably different for them. We also didn't spend much time in the hotel, and there were plenty of dinner options around, even though few were gourmet (fast food heaven anyone?). The hotel was also very conveniently located relative to Universal (our destination was HP world) and offered shuttle service (which we didn't use because we went early). All in all, I suppose it was a decent stay. I think my husband would have preferred to stay at one of the onsite hotels but I really didn't think they were worth forking over $300+ per night.

Room Tip: Ask if there are large groups and try NOT to stay near them.

DruryHotels, General Manager at Drury Inn & Suites Orlando, responded to this reviewResponded June 26, 2013

Thank you for choosing Drury Hotels. We appreciate hearing from our guests and are extremely sorry that your stay was less than perfect. I am very sorry that our hotel does not have room service. We do however have other amenities such as: FREE hot food in the morning and evening, three FREE alcoholic drinks nightly, and FREE wireless internet. I am also sorry for the inconvenience of having a group arrive at the same time as you to use the elevators, our three elevators should have not made you wait too long. Additionally, I am sorry to hear that you were unable to find a restaurant to your liking - we are on what is known in Orlando as restaurant row. With great restaurants such as Rocco's Tacos, Ruth's Chris, Season's 52 and Roy's Hawaiian Fusion just to name a few. If ever during a stay at a Drury Hotel you have questions or concerns, please let us know right away so we can work to fix the issue as soon as possible. We truly appreciate your business and hope you will give us additional opportunities to serve your lodging needs.

My only concern is that it's right next to a major street/highway. Lots of vehicle noise from ambulances, motorcycle exhaust, and vehicles in general mainly early in morning and at night when you're trying to get rest. Other than that, the service at this hotel has been the best of all Drury Inn's that I've stayed. The manager walks around during breakfast and evening kickback to ensure customer and operational needs are met. There is a Universal Studios concierge in the lobby to help answer questions, book shuttle to park, and even buy tickets. There is a gas station and two fast food restaurants next door within walking distance. A Publix and Walmart are down the street. Overall, I will recommend this hotel.
