“Nice hotel, good customer service”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

We spent past weekend at Drury Inn in one of their suites. It was spacious, overall, very clean. I opened up the pull out sofa and found it full of popcorn and food. When I went down to the desk i asked if someone could come up and clean the area and change the linens on the pullout. The girl at the desk was very nice. She gave us a new suite right away and apologized. The new suite was clean.
We were there on Friday for the 530 kickback which was great. It had plenty of food to eat, drinks and a bar as well. My kids and I enjoyed it. The breakfast was very nice as well. Plenty to choose from and healthy options as well-fruit, oatmeal, yogurt.
The management is a constant presence in the lobby and in the dining area. They are very helpful, friendly and willing to help.
I would definitely recommend it and would stay again.
We used the pool which was clean as was the gym. Close enough to Disney-about 15 min drive and very close to International drive-less than 5 min
Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed at Drury Inn for the 2nd week of May 2013 on the recommendation of other tripadvisor reviewers. It was our first trip to Orlando and our first trip to Disney World and Seaworld as a family of 3. The drive from the hotel to the Disney parks and Seaworld was very easy, about 15min drive. From the airport it was easy as well. We had a rental car so we set our GPS to avoid tolls and found the way to our hotel without dealing with tolls fairly easily. We had a basic 2 queen bed room. Location was fairly convenient and was close to many shops. We forgot to bring some items for our 4 yr old so we stopped by Kmart which was walking distance. We also visited Whole Foods and Pei Wei Asian Diner in the strip mall across the street. The hotel offered daily breakfast which was fine but nothing special. We didn't see any cut honeydew melons or cantaloupes or strawberries. There were oranges and bananas every day. The bananas did come in handy on our visit to the Disney parks. They also had yogurts and donuts, eggs, breakfast potatoes, biscuits, oatmeal, and cereal. They also had a few waffle machines that made decent waffles. We took advantage of the kickbacks on a few evenings. They were fine as well but got a little old after a few days. They had hot dogs every evening during kickback and included pasta and meatballs or chicken fingers on alternating days. They had a popcorn machine that we didn't really take advantage of but saw alot of others doing so. Soda was offered every day and they had juice during breakfast that would be available all day until they were gone, after that it wasn't refilled. Rooms had cable tv which was nice. Bathrooms were pretty basic. There was no safe in the rooms which I was under the impression they had. So we had to keep our valuables downstairs by the front desk. A bit of a pain but nothing too overbearing. Overall, we would stay here again if the rates were good. One note to keep in mind is that they do not offer you Drury points if you booked with them through expedia or another travel site. They only offered points on their rewards card if you booked directly with them.

Room Tip: We were in room 523. We heard motorcycles pass by a few times every hr at night but it wasn't so...

This is a really great hotel. The free drinks in the evening, 3 each, are really good...you can have margaritas, wine, beer, tequila sunrises...The evening kick back food was wonderful, salad, veges with dip, soup, nacho fixings, baked potatoes with butter and sour cream, chicken strips...the food was great. They also have a soda fountain machine, a great selection of beverages, we filled up our own cup and went out for the day. There is also a popcorn machine in the lobby. Breakfast was good also. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a place to stay that was near Disney World so I turned to my favorite source, TripAdvisor. I discovered that the Drury Inn was rated number one in the Orlando area AND it was a price I could afford. This was my first stay at a Drury Inn ever.

I am happy to report that the reviews were accurate. This is a wonderful place to stay. It was clean, friendly, plenty of parking, great location off the freeway (easy on, easy off), and not too far from Disney, Universal or Sea World. For the price you pay, this is an excellent value.

The room and bathroom were spacious; the beds were comfortable. There was a fantastic breakfast buffet, include with the price of the room, which had enough choices to suite most needs. There was also a nice dinner buffet, included in the room price, which we ate at on one of the evenings when we were too tired to go out. The dinner buffet was good with salad, veggies, meatballs, baked potatoes, hot dogs, and pasta. There were nacho chips, and a few other chip type things. You could certainly make a meal here and we did. I especially liked that I could get a glass of ice water from the beverage area at any time of day. Other beverages were available such as soda and ice tea, hot coffee, etc. There were also free alcoholic beverage coupons given to us at check in but we did not sample any of those beverages so I cannot speak to that part of it.

As for the facility, the pool was exceptionally clean and I used the business center a lot which had four computers, a fast internet connection and a printer. This was partially a business trip and I needed to use this business center frequently. It was fantastic.

Stephanie, the front desk associate who checked us in, even sent my daughter a note of congratulations for her new job. That is personalized service that you don't get anywhere. Thank you, Stephanie!

I will definitely stay here again if I ever need a room in this area.

Travelers tip: Make your reservations as soon as possible because a number one hotel like this fills up fast.

Just got home and still can't believe how great this hotel was. We stayed 4 nights (2 adults & 2 kids), the hotel and our room was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast each day was very good; more than just toast, waffles and cereals (eggs, sausage, home potatoes, list goes on). The service was great, even when it got busy staff was asking what they could get you (thanks Vicky), even the Manger came around to talk and see if we needed anything. As has been written below, the "kick back" is a real bonus. We enjoyed the free drinks (Thanks Steven, best bartender!!). Kids loved the food. They also loved the inside/outside pool and hot tub. Only 5 minutes to Universal.

We loved this hotel. The location, the clean and spacious room, the friendly staff and the nice breakfast. Also, the "kick back" hour in the afternoon, where free a free snack buffet was served as well as free drinks! Free parking and wifi, a lovely pool and a Whole Foods just across the street! Awesome.
