“A must see”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

I'm not much of a fireworks person (I think it stems from a terrible fear of them as a kid), but I always have to see Wishes when visiting WDW. The effects and synchronization are just astounding and despite the heavy crowds, it's worth it.

“If Disney can think it up they can do it with fireworks.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 10, 2014

Think of the opening sequence of any Disney movie - the huge arch being drawn over the castle by Tinkerbell. Well now you can see it done several times each night - and it's magnificant. Best views of the castle changing colors are from the parking lot loading/unloading area for the ferry boat. Use about a 250-400mm lens. I got about 60 excellent shots and none are alike. The pre-show done on the castle using the new laser high-intensity projection system is breathtaking. When the cards begin falling down from the tower and then pile up around the moat, it honestly looks real. One night last summer hundreds of photos of faces were projected all over the castle before the show. We think they were people who had donated time or money - not sure - but the crowd was amazed. Now for the 'real' stuff. The crowd is large. Really large. Getting there early means about 90 minutes before showtime. Which is not possible because of the really large crowds. So just find a spot down main street or somewhere where you can see the sky and the FRONT of the castle. Then sit down. If you are in an electric wheelchair there are spots reserved right in front for you - but you really need to almost camp out there. Yes it's worth it but it takes up about 1 1/2 hours up to 2 hours of your visit time. And FWIW around the major tourism weekends the Magic Kingdom can reach their capacity of 100,000 visitors by noon. Several have commented that viewing the fireworks from the ferry during it's run is also very good. Now the good advice. If you have a pass, see the fireworks and get it over. Then head to Pirates and the Tiki Room the next night during the fireworks. Cause you'll be the only ones in there!

Was able to view these fireworks while riding the go carts at MK, wow this was a cool way to do it. If you get a chance to be on a ride while these are happening, your a lucky person.
