I would expect more from a Crowne Plaza hotel. We were staying on the IHG Rewards level rooms, too. Happy hour is a joke and apparently changes everyday (not promoted by the bar tending staff either) and the happy hour appetizer special isn’t honored each night even though it’s posted throughout the hotel. Supposedly half price if you order an alcoholic beverage but they don’t tell you it apparently has to be a specific alcoholic beverage, not just whatever you want. Oh and a 15% gratuity tacked on to the tab with the expectation of you to tip 18-22% more?!? Housekeeping! Ha! Leaves you with barely a quarter of a roll of TP for 2 adults and 2 kids and leaves the spare roll holder on your counter. Call for more TP, be prepared to wait more than 20 minutes even though you’ve explained you have NONE and need it ASAP because housekeeping failed to replenish!!!! Don’t forget the hairs stuck to the tub on the first night which was pretty obvious. Was the bathroom even really cleaned before we checked in? Mini fridge goes out.. call first thing in the morning and told it would be replaced. At 7:30 that night we receive a message (not even a phone call) stating our door had the do not disturb sign on it and they couldn’t fix whatever we asked to be fixed (literally said whatever we asked for as is they didn’t know it was the mini fridge). The sign wasn’t on the door and hadn’t been the entire time we were there, they didn’t even try and they had ALL day!!!! I immediately call and am told there are no more mini fridges and ours can’t be replaced.. why am I being lied to?!? The pool doesn’t look like it’s been cleaned properly for several months. Yea, they “skim” it every morning but be prepared to find plastic cups floating after hardly anyone has been in the pool and black stuff caked around the ledge. I’ve been at “express” hotels with better service and cleanliness.
