You won't spend all day here, but it's a free hour or so! The Legos here are amazing. The kids spent the hour here imagining what to build based on the amazing structures around.
The Lego VIP club rewards are free, so if you're a Lego fan, that's good to have.
The Legos themselves are pricey (like everywhere).
Very clean & after this, head to the little splash pond by the sandwich shop. Also free & entertained the kids for another hour!

we loved how there were areas to let the kids play and invent new things. we loved how there was a major variety of projects that could be bought.

There aren't many "free" activities at Disney. But to take your little ones into the store and let them play with legos is a nice break from the usual Disney approach to getting between you and your cash :-). However, our twins were barely 2 the last time we were went so they weren't to the "i can't leave unless you buy this for me" stage. Now that they are nearly 3, I have a feeling we won't be able to escape without buying at least a small bag of legos. Even so, it is a great place to see a vast selection of legos.

Also, be prepared that there are no restrooms in this store. We had to go next door to a deli or cafe to find a restroom to change my son's diapers.

Expensive stuff but its fun for kids, and grown ps like me who take this time to feel like a kid again. Nice to see the way all the legos are built into something amazing.

I took my grand daughter to the Festival of the Masters at Downtown Disney thinking she would love the sidewalk chalk art. Well, she loved it but wanted to help draw and we could not find a place where elementary kids could be artists (It was a competition for high school students and the majesty of some of the works being done was breath taking....I loved it!) The Lego store actually had two participation stations set up that were totally free. At one location one gets to put tiny bricks on a flat numbered base which is then added to a massive wall mural. At the other location, stations were set up with the bricks and diagrams to assemble a component that would be used in the creation of a huge Star Wars X wing made entirely of Legos. There were staff members to explain what needed to be done, easy to read diagrams, plenty of work space, plenty of bricks, and one got to work as long as desired. When finished with the component, one took it to quality control for inspection. It was a good lesson on following instructions as one of our pieces was not exactly right and had to be done over! When a piece was deemed just right the builder then got a slip of paper which was taken inside to exchange for a certificate of participation. We also got a card with the website which would show the X Wing being constructed and what it would look like finished. This was a totally satisfactory experience.
