We stayed 2 weeks at this incredible property and I can't say enough good things about it. The staff is wonderful, the place is as clean as can be and the location is excellent.

There's nothing better then returning to the same hotel, year after year, and experiencing it getting better with each visit.

Currently the pool area is being repainted and the rooms are being redone in some of the buildings. Last year, the deli/marketplace was renovated, and the year before the pool bar was expanded/improved.

Great place for the kids, with the daily activities and movie theater on-site.

Couldnt have asked for a more enjoyable hotel experience!

Travelling on business, I took advantage of a very low off season rate, fully aware that I was booking at a vacation/resort hotel. No real amenities for a business traveller, but would be awesome for a family vacation. Grounds are stunningly beautiful, room was small but adequate with a kitchenette. Nice restaurant next to a huge resort pool.

While the reviews previous to mine said the hotel was looking tired, I'm sitting here right now watching all the refurbishments they are doing. The whole main building just got a brand new coat of paint and it looks great! The lobby is in the midst of rennovation at the moment and they tell me it will be done in mid-Dec. Our room is on the ground floor in the Padget House (one of the further buildings away from the main area) however it is beautiful. The kitchen area is great because we went out to Publix down the road and went grocery shopping so we didn't have to eat out every day. The main pool area is very nice. One pool is heated and one is not. There is also shuffleboard, ping-pong, a pool table, kids play area, and kids pools as well as numerous hot tubs. On our first day here, we spent the entire day at the pool and the kids (ages 3 and 8) had a fabulous time. There are many organized activities to keep the kids busy in or out of the pool. The outdoor restaurant is right on the pool deck so it was nice to grab something to eat. We are not vacation club owners. We got a good deal on the hotel over Thanksgiving in exchange for sitting through a 2-hr. vacation club presentation. They stuck to the 2hr. timeframe and when we realized the vacation club membership wasn't for us, they shook our hands, sent us on our way and there was no pressure what-so-ever. This resort is directly across the street from Sea World and about a 15 min. drive from all the Disney theme parks. We went and saw the other Hilton Grand Vacation property today, Parc Soleil, and while it is much, much nicer, it's also brand new compared to this property that is 15 yrs. old. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Spent a week here in November in a studio on an RCI exchange week. The location is great, 5 minutes walk to Seaworld (you can get a shuttle to acquatica from seaworld entrance). An I Tram stop and a Lynx bus stop just outside the entry gate whoch will take you up and down International drive and to other locations in the area. Resort has shuttles to key attractions but they don't run very often so we did not use them.

Studio was a good size but starting to show its age, noted that other buildings had been recently refurbished with flat screen TV's etc, suppose you can't do them all at once, but the block we were in (Somerset) needs to have its turn soon as its starting to show its age.

Very limited central services, tiny bar and small restaurant for size of resort, guess people either self cater or eat out. Restaurant food was very mediocre and I would not reccommend it other than for a quick drink. Basic grocery store on site and Pizza take away but you would be better of stocking up at Publix or Wal Mart before you arrive if you have a car.

Resort offers a lot of entertainement (very Hi de HI, Brits will understand), we did not participate but events seemed to draw reasonable crowds which suggests they were well run.

Staff were always friendly and courteous when seen but we did not need them for anything.

Fine for a November exchange week

We have stayed at this property several times over the past several years and have had a good experience. Sadly, I can't say that our recent stay fell in that category.
We are owners in HGVC time share and are use to the HGVC level of service. That being said, our stay was good until Friday evening when our one bedroom unit was overwhelmed with cigarette smoke. Upon investigation, it was coming in through the A/C unit. We turned off the A/C and closed the vents (good thing it was Nov.).
We called the front desk and told them about our issue. They listened but didn't seem overly concerned. We then looked out on our screened porch to see that the only occupied unit was the one above us (our unit was a ground floor, corner unit).
We called the desk again, since the smell had not dissapated, and this time the staff said that they would send security to check it out but sounded a little put out.
We didn't hear anything about any resolution to the issue.
This happened again on Saturday night, prior to our departure on Sunday. I called ,checking on check-out time, and again mentioned that the cigarette smell was back. The staff member said that security didn't find anything the night before. They were more understanding but the issue was not resolved.
I have no issues with people who want or need to smoke. They have just as much right to smoke as I do to have a smoke less room when on vacation. But I do have an issue with people who do not follow rules just because it doesn't suit them.
Overall the stay was ok but I can't help but wonder, as does another reviewer, if there are other properties that would better suit our needs.
