International Palms Resort & Conference Center
Ranked #256 of 340 Hotels in Orlando

We have just returned from our third trip to orlando. Second time at this hotel. Yes rooms could do with an update and some smell a little damp, we had 2 rooms as there were six of us. The air conditioning unit kept dripping in one room which I think was cause of damp smell but the other was fine. Cleaning staff worked hard and bathroom was always spotless and bed clean and regular fresh sheets. Since we only used the rooms to sleep in that was all that mattered. We asked for adjoining rooms which we had had previously but were originally given rooms on different floors. We then asked for rooms in the tower which were close to each other. Rooms in the tower very big and little noise from roads. The only gripe about hotel really was hot tub not cleaned. I like to relax in it at night after day in parks. First time I did this when I stepped out my white swimsuit was black and green on the back, and later I could see the dirty marks on the tiles. Although our paperwork said we would have to pay $2 per person each way for buses to the parks, reception informed us that as we had booked through Thomas Cook it would be free. Big saving for us!! We dont bother hiring car as everything we visit can be accessed by bus and find it less stressful. Visit Ponderosa/Sizzler for Breakfast or dinner, $3.99 plus tax for breakfast buffett and $9.99 for dinner. So much choice, soups, salads, tacos, different potatoes, rice, pastas etc then deserts, fresh fruits and ice cream. But lots of empty restaurants and motels on I drive, signs of the recession I suppose. We also spent a week at a disney hotel which of course was more expensive, but this hotel had much bigger rooms, bigger fridge and a microwave. I think this hotel good value for money.

We took the kids here one weekend just to have a short family trip away from home. We loved it! The pools, slides, entertainment (i.e. shows w/ kids being slimed) couldn't have been better. The rooms were dressed up with Nick characters but we did We expected a little more. The service was good but the hotel could use a little updating. Overall, we had a blast and that was our main reason for the trip....so we will be back! Hope to get the same great rate through Fly.com.

We stayed here for 14 nights from August the 15th and found the hotel to be just what we needed. We checked in with Mike who was really helpful, he arranged a suite for us for our stay in the Tower Rooms, we stayed on floor 3 in room 7322, DONT believe that anyone can get into the lift because they can't, you need your room card to call the lift down!!

It's a 30 second walk from reception through the convention part of the hotel. The room was large, very spacious, microwave, fridge freezer, huge bed which was very very comfey and was just what we wanted considering how cheap it was compared to others.

The hotel offers a shuttle to Disney for $7 per person per ride leaving at 8:15 the earliest one, there are other times but after a while we found it cheaper to get the Lynx buses to Disney. The shuttle they offer is to Epcot only but you can connect on a monorail to Magic Kingdom.

The tower rooms are high, it is a TOWER like it states, but we were luckily on floor 3, there is a railing going round the floors so it's not a massive deal unless your hugely affected by heights!

The shower was what we needed, nothing more nothing less, you had to work it a tad to get it just right but doesnt take long!

The pool was smaller than it looks it brochures, we only went in once and it was a bit grubby, needs a good clean, was still worth going in though as it was open till 11:30pm!

Don't believe the hype surrounding this hotel, if your like us and staying for 2 weeks and just need somewhere to sleep and wash up then this is ideal. It suited us perfectly. Some people said it smelled of damp in the coridoors but that is because of the humidity and the plants/waterfall making the centre like a greenhouse sometimes!!

Drove over to O-Town from Tampa for a one night stumble. Had no expectations when we found the "resort" for $55.00 per night. And we were quite surprised once we got into the room. The outside of the "resort" needs updating but the bed was comfy and the king size room was very spacious. Now remember I did say we paid $55.00 per night and got exactly what we paid for - the next morning in the shower. While the water was plenty hot, more of it was continually coming out of the facet than the shower head! LOL! Thankfully we are people who can laugh at such things and chalk it up to another great story. It was a bed to sleep on after a stumble on I-Drive and that's all that mattered.
