2nd time to Orlando.
There is a complimentary mini fridge and safety box in the hotel room.
Hilton Downtown Disney and Downtown Disney:
Exit the doors infront of the gym entrance, walk pass by the pool, and walk towards the street, just cross the street to enter Downtown Disney. Earl of Sandwich is right by the entrance. It is a great place to grab breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place is always busy. Pollo Campero, a fast food chain and is a great place to try some Mexican food. Want to indulge your sweet tooth, go to Ghirardelli for some delicious dessert after dinner. The desserts are huge and are great for sharing. There are handouts of chocolate at the store side of Ghirardelli.
There is a Disney Shop on location, the prices are equal to the stores in Disney World, so take a mental note of everything they have, so you don't have to lug the souvenirs back from the attraction parks. I bought some last minute little boxes of cookies and chocolates from this Disney Shop because they were so easy to pack in my little suitcase.
There are Disney parks and Downtown Disney maps to grab at the Disney Store. There are Universal Studios maps out in the front lobby. Grab the maps in order to plan your day ahead.
You can ask the tour desk to call and arrange for your Mears shuttle pickup back to the airport.
There are free shuttle buses to the Disney Parks. 1 bus will stop at two parks, pay attention to the writings on the bus. If not you would have to exit at a Disney Park and take one of Disney's transit system to head to the correct park. Hilton guests are the first to get into the buses and are also the first to leave the buses when returning from the parks. Pay attention where the buses drop you because this is your pickup location also.
Lynx buses, Orlando's local bus transit stops right infront of Hilton. You can take one bus to the airport if you wish, one bus to Florida Mall (indoor mall), or one bus to Disney Transfer Station. If you want to take the bus to Universal Studios, head to Florida Mall and take a transfer to Universal Studios.
Right at the front of the hotel. Take the cab and head to Orlando Premium Outlet. It is so close by. Less than $15 one way depending on traffic.
Grab a cab to the airport, it will be less than $45 one way depending on traffic.
Disney World Tip(s):
-Magic Kingdom head to Fantasyland first
-Ask employees to take your pictures, they give you a number and later you can access your Disney photos on the web when you return from your trip
Universal Studios Tip(s):
-Islands of Adventure head to Harry Potter first (a simulation ride on a moving track)
-I did not like the Pumpkin Juice, but like the frosted Butter Beer (It was very sweet though.)
All the amusements parks these days scan your fingerprint so that one can not share multi day passes with others.
