“Older Hilton but not bad.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2005

This is a typical older mid-range Hilton that obviously gets lots of families as guests. The rooms are in overall good shape and have been recently renovated (try and get a Downtown Disney view). Our room was on the top floor (10th) and we had access to the executive lounge on the 9th. At check in I was told that I had a Downtown view but I didn’t. Nice breakfast spread and light hors d’ouvres in the evening in the lounge.
Parking is easy and free. The pools were nice with good towel service. I'm not usually bothered by thin walls but this property must have the thinnest walls ever! We were kept up all night one night with multiple noisy neighbors and goings on in the hallways at 3am. When doors closed from nearby rooms, our wall mirror shook so much, we thought it would fall off the wall.
Sushi from Benihana (located downstairs) was a big mistake...with out a doubt the worst sushi I've eaten and I usually eat sushi 3 times a month.
Bottom-line...would I stay here again? Probably not...due to the many hotels in the area. I hear the nearby Hyatt is nice. See attached photos.

The best thing about this hotel is its location. Two minutes to Downtown Disney (by foot), easy access to the parks (by car or the hotel's shuttle), walking distance to a range of restaurants + good restaurants on site (including very good sushi bar at the Benihana attached to the hotel), and close to major malls.

Stayed in an executive room which was very ordinary ... so the standard rooms must be very ordinary indeed! The bathroom was desperately in need of an update, everything else was ok, but not luxe. Well maintained by the maids, who stopped by each evening and replaced towels, etc. General facilities were much better--nice pool area with bar, lots of chairs, etc., well-equipped gym, business center with lots of computer terminals for internet. Very helpful concierge desk including their own map with instructions to just about everything a visitor might want to track down.

Customer service was fabulous upon check in. The hotel has a fun atmosphere with almost whimsical decor. However, the standard rooms are tiny. The bathrooms are also very small and really need to be updated. We had stayed at the Wyndham Palace a few weeks prior--and the Wyndham had bad reviews--I also had given it a somewhat mediocre review. However, the rooms at the Wyndham Palace are much bigger, have decks or patios--the whole place is much bigger than Hilton. So although I would give the Hilton high marks on it's great customer service, lovely lobby and fun decor, I would say for families, the Wyndham Palace is much better size-wise and the grounds are larger too. A family of 4 at the Hilton, (even though my children are under 4 yrs old) is absolutely scrunched in a standard room--either go for a bigger room or try one of the other Lake Buena Vista hotels.

We stayed at this hotel after 5 days at the Grand Cypress Hyatt so we could get the magic hour and the shuttle.

Overall the hotel is ok. Standard.
The rooms are very standard, quite stuffy because the windows dont' open. Don't bother upgrading to Towers, the breakfast is awful and the attendant didn't understand the problem when i explained that there were flies crawling on the complimentary cheese and biscuits.

The upgrade isn't worth it, but we didn't get the chance to view a standard room, so the room might have been better, but is was still just ok.

The pool was nice, lots of sunbeds and a pool bar.

It is jsut across the road from downtown disney which is nice, but the shuttle to the parks is unreliable, after leaving is standing in the thubnderstorms at 10pm at MGM. Very disappointing. If this happens to you, let the manager know as she appreciates the information and gave us a voucher for the resteraunt. However, this is the best form of transport to the park avaliable to you. Make sure you get a bus timetable which we didn't get until the day before we left - very helpful.

Concierge were very helpful on the towers level.

Blue Fin Dining room very nice. Really enjoyed the meal and the lunch time room which is new england style decor serve beautiful food. Room service is also recommended. Especially the fettuccini. My favourite.

If you jsut want somewhere cheap and cheerful to do hte parks, this is for you.
If you like a bit of luxury and decide to upgrade, don't! Price up the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous times, both for business and for pleasure.

I travel quite a bit and stay frequently at Hilton properties. Every time I have stayed here, they have upgraded me either to a suite or a junior suite. Once, we were assigned to a beautiful room located on the corner of the hotel facing Downtown Disney, complete with a wrap around balcony. Try to get a room facing Downtown Disney, that way you can see the nighlty fireworks from the various Disney parks.

I have often found this hotel to be a value when compared to similar Disney properties, and I have found this place to be no less convienient to the parks than many of the outlying disney properties. Also, because this is technically a "Disney" hotel, you do get many of the benefits of actually staying on the Disney property.

There is only one thing about this hotel I do not like---its size. You can literally feel like you are walking a mile from your hotel room to an elevator. However, that is a small price to pay for what is otherwise, a very nice hotel.

This was our first wknd getaway w/o children & we were very pleased with the Hilton! Our room was a king with a view of the pool & Downtown Disney. The fireworks & lights from Downtown Disney ended each night perfectly!

Since this was our couple's getaway we didn't take advantage of visiting the parks. We did like the location & the convenience of being across the street, within walking distance, from Downtown Disney. If you're looking for an evening's entertainment we highly recommend the Cirque Du Soleil show! It was outstanding and amazing!!

We dined at the Benihana restaurant which is located in the Hilton. The meals was delicious and preparation entertaining. The price was very reasonable! We were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait considering it was a Friday night.

The only con, which is why we rated this hotel w/4 stars instead of 5...the bathtub in our room was in need of being replaced. The touchups were past its prime. The LOUD "party" in the pool at 2:30am was quite aggravating & interrupted our sleep; however, that's the fault of the guests, not the resort/staff. Evidently there were complaints because the party was disrupted soon.

This is a hotel that we will definitely consider for future trips. The accommodations were very acceptable & the price much better than a moderately priced Disney resort.

Everything at this hotel is 100%. The most comfortable stay ever on a great price. We were on the 10th floor, what a nice view. Hallways are quiet and clean. Staff is polite, professional. Check-in an out fast and easy. I have been at several hotels in the area, nothing beats this one. Will not stay anywhere else. Downtown Disney in walking distance. Just a few minutes drive from the Hotel are plenty of restaurants, 24 our supermarket, McDonalds, Taco Bell ... Airport about 25-30 minutes.
Do not look any further! This is the one!
