I was in Orlando for a conference that was being hosted at the hotel. I was traveling alone with my service dog and booked a single room with one bed.
I found the room to have more than enough space for what would be a 3 day stay. There were more than enough towels already in the room so that I didn't need to get more. Everything in the room looked really nice and there was plenty of floor space so that my dog could lay down.
The only complaints I have about the room is the television, or more precisely, the remote. If you do not aim it directly at the censor, it is just not going to detect it. But I didn't spend a lot of time watching TV so it wasn't a big deal. Also, there is a fridge in the room but no freezer.
The employees on the main floor are all very attentive and ready to help 24/7.
Within the hotel there is a Disney merchandise store, a 24/7 convenience store, a FedEx office supply store, bar, and two restaurants. I only utilized the convenience store during my stay. The coffee prices for espresso beverages were reasonable but most other products have a high mark up. Still, the service from the employees is excellent. If you don't mind the walk or have a car, there is a gas station a quarter mile from the hotel that will have many of the products for a cheaper price.
Breakfast is served from 6:30am-11:30am in a Club room in the middle of the floor. You have to have your room key to get into the room. It is a cold breakfast but very ample.
Within walking distance of the hotel is Downtown Disney. Most of the dining options are more casual dining and snacks, but there is a Planet Hollywood there. Within a mile of the hotel are several chain restaurants, retail pharmacies, and urgent care centers. Add another mile out and you'll find some non-chain restaurants.
The facilities for the hotel for hosting the conference were top notch.
At no time did my service dog or I feel not welcome. All the employees were very respectful of him.
I'm a former hotel worker so I know the challenges of working within a hotel and I thought this group just did a fantastic job. I'd highly recommend this hotel.
