Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista - Disney Springs™ Area
Ranked #148 of 341 Hotels in Orlando
Reviewed May 5, 2014

I have stayed in various hotels around Magic Kingdom and have often found them to be quite lacking. You don't tend to always feel as though you're actually in Disney, and the transport to and from the parks is often the most challenging part of your stay.

Not so with the Hilton, it has a pretty decent transport system whereby buses leave for MK and Epcot every half hour. In any case, Downtown Disney is literally across the street giving you access to the Disney Transportation system. Additionally, you have have packages delivered from the parks direct to the hotel.

There are several food establishments within this hotel. The Covington Mill provides breakfast and lunch and the bar serves food until quite late. There are also another couple of restaurants within the hotel (which I didn't visit). The Covington is ok-ish. It serves typical buffet fare for $19. It's more on a Sunday when Minnie Mouse and some characters from Song of the South are present. Generally, the food is lackluster and the service is pedestrian at best. Having said that, the best server I encountered was Leigh who as well as been an excellent, efficient and wonderful waiter, also knew all the parks and local shopping inside out. Well worth a visit just to get served by this champion!

Checking in was a slight challenge, even at quite busy times they appeared to have just two receptionists working (there were a number of conference guests and families checking in), so don't expect a speedy check-in. Also be aware that a "resort fee" and a room tax are added to your bill. You do however have free wifi and a cup of coffee every day for this fee as well as use of the buses.

The concierge are amazing; especially Indira who can hook you up with all sorts of tables at cool restaurants. They should probably be your first port of visit once you're settled.

The hotel facilities were ok; a reasonable gym, 2 large pools, a paddling pool and two Jacuzzis plus rocking chairs and hammocks dotted around the estate. There is a laundry downstairs (be warned $3 per wash, $3 per dry; and only accepts credit cards).

Notwithstanding the busy reception desk, I am very likely to stay here again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. You might want to choose one closer to the lifts (which are quite quiet) e...

Very comfortable hotel. Well maintained with plenty of options for dining. A very practical alternative to staying on Disney Property. The staff was helpful and friendly. Recieved free internet which is something you cannot get at Disney. The meeting areas were comfortable and had everything we needed.

Arrived last Sunday before midday and foyer was chaotic, people & cars everywhere, just so busy.
Valet quickly took our car, too early for check in so pre-registered, luggage stored, given vouchers for free alcoholic drinks as well as Starbucks coffee vouchers . Friendly, helpful concierge advised us walk across road to Downtown Disney. By 3pm we were in our room overlooking downtown Disney & some views of Disneyland, great night scenes. Bought our Disney tickets from concierge , learnt we had early entry 8am to Animal Kingdom next day as hotel has this Disney benefit.
Pool great, swimming till late evening. Free internet, valet parking, on site marketplace shop where we purchased cereal etc for breakfast. Good value so close to Disneyland free shuttles every 20 minutes.

Room Tip: Ask for Disney views

Hilton Lake Bueno Vista is a good and nice hotel for holiday and business trips. Wifi is included with a code. The rooms are clean and tidy. Furniture is a lttle bit outdated. Breakfast is not included. You can have breakfast in the hotel restaurant of can have breakfast from the take away store in the lobby of the hotel. When there is a conference of congress the waiting times are very long. You can also have breakfast in Downtown Disney what is much cheaper and with more choice. There is a large swimming pool in the hotel with a good water temparture. Downtown Disney is about 5 min. walk. There is a shuttle to the different themeparcs of Disney. The parking lot at the hotel is fot hotel guests available for a discount price. All over a good hotel stay.

i was surprised finding this hotel with a very good staff and great location, just across the street of Disney Down Town and Pleasure Island.
Very comfortable and excellent breackfast.
A plus is a Benihana restaurant inside the hotel.
The bad thing; Do not accept offers from the kiosk who will try to sell you promotional tickets for Disneys attractions.

Beautiful hotel with a great location directly across the street from downtown disney. The pool area and the grounds are really nice and clean. The hotels charges $14 a day for parking, and if you leave by the "wrong" kiosk and have a ticket that says when you came and left you may be still be charged for everytime you enter or leave the parking lot. Everything else here was fine, just took us a long time to check out due to the long list of parking charges we accrued over three days here.

After having encountered cockroaches at the home of my FAR-REMOVED extended family, my fiance and I were in need of a CLEAN place to lay our heads. This hotel is amazing!

The staff is extremely friendly and willing to help with most requests. Upon check-in, Cleybi greeted us at the front desk and made sure we were both assured of a clean, hassle-free duration of our stay. As a note to management, Cleybi was phenomenal and should be commended further; as I checked out this past Sunday, I was shocked to see she is still in training... I cannot wait to see what kind of future leader she is with the company.

I digress, the hotel is clean and located right next to Downtown Disney. The rooms were spacious enough and boast decent views. I'm a fan of the breakfast for Hilton Honors Gold members, and the kitchen staff were also very kind. The pool is clean and the grounds make you feel like you are away from the hustle and bustle of Disney.

My three major issues with this hotel are: 1) no microwave to reheat food from local restaurants and 2) the check-out process is very confusing and time-consuming. I had to wait in a 30 minute line just to give my two room keys to the front desk attendent for him to then give me a summary of my charges which I already knew. There needs to be a quicker way to check-out, as I could have just left the room keys in my room and walked out the door since I knew I had no other charges. And lastly, 3) the resort fee ($25 reduced to $12 for HH Gold) ON TOP OF the daily parking fee ($14) is a hidden charge that should be reduced for HHonors members.

Overall, though, a great hotel that I would stay at many times in the future.
