As I entered the hotel, the lobby was very pretty and decorated with a Christmas tree and decorations. It has a restaurant on site, which was very convenient, but very pricey as well. There was a gift shop and a little convenience store that sold food etc. The 2 bedroom suite was big enough for 3 adults and 6 kids ranging from 5 to 10 yrs of age (they even had roll-a-way beds available). The room came equipped with a microwave, sink, refrigerator, and coffee maker. I loved that the hotel had a shuttle bus to take us to and from the parks. Over all it was a great experience and we had a wonderful time in Disney.

We stayed here for 4 nights (Dec 15-19) on the sixth floor and found the location to be subpar. We ordinarily stay at The Gaylord Palms or Courtyard by Marriott, but decided to give this hotel a try based on reviews seen here on Trip Advisor. The only good thing I could say was that the location was great, and the room was spacious.

To begin with, our room on the 6th floor was too warm, bordering on stifling. The toilet seat was which did not give the impression of a clean restroom. Honestly, I did not even want to use it, because a peeling toilet seat cannot be properly sanitized between guests.
The ice machine on our floor was broken, so I went to two other floors to look for ice, only to find that the ice machines on the 5th and 7th floors were not working either. We learned from a guest in a nearby room that the ice machine on the fourth floor was working. Honestly, how many floors was I expected to go to to find ice?

When we returned to our room at 4 PM on December 16, our room had not been cleaned yet. When we went to the front desk to ask what we were supposed to do while waiting for our room to be cleaned they offered us warm chocolate chip cookies. How were cookies supposed to make up for not being able to rest in the room I had paid for? At the Gaylord Palms and Courtyard by Marriott the rooms for guests that are staying are all cleaned by 1 PM.

Another guest was experiencing the same problem with her room, and the staff member at the front desk would not take her coffee coupon. Instead she was directed to a coffee machine. We do not drink coffee, so this did not affect us, but it was disappointing to see a guest have to pay for coffee when she had a coupon for a free cup of coffee. The Gaylord Palms and Courtyard by Marriott have complimentary coffee for their guests.

The complimentary breakfast was disappointing, nothing like the hot buffets that come with our rooms at Courtyard by Marriott. Their complimentary buffets have sausage, bacon, eggs, an omelette station, and waffles made to order.

The pillows were very uncomfortable, nothing like the soft, fluffy pillows they have at The Gaylord Palms and Courtyard by Marriott.

The staff were not helpful and at times did not even appear knowledgeable. One guest asked a staff member to help her with the coffee machine, and the employee did not know how to operate it.

In closing, I will not be staying at this hotel again, or any other Hilton affiliates, because of the lack of cleanliness, the attitude of the staff and the ice machines not working on at least three floors, not to mention the lack of free coffee and the poor breakfast offerings. I will also not recommend any of the Hilton hotels to friends or family.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else.

I arrived on a Sunday early afternoon for a conference and was greeted by Tyler (the front desk supervisor) very helpful and friendly and was able to get me checked into a room on the 5th floor (Room 535)

Check-in was a breeze, and I was up to my room in a flash...

I then ventured to the Concierge and ask about a golf course to play at nearby, the first one said without question was Grand Cypress...an awesome place to play and had my first hole in one there...

There are a number of restaurants and t-shirt places all within either a walking distance or by car..(the stop lights in this area are very long) so be prepared if driving just to the next block...

The property is within a mere 3-5 minute drive to Downtown Disney (a myriad of things to do) they even have valet parking there (since if you self park) you could walk a LONG LONG LONG way...

Room was very fresh and newly renovated and the beds are the most comfortable of any of the Hilton properties..

Parking is $15 per day plus tax for self-park and $18 per day for valet parking..(but the self-park is right next to the lobby door so there is really no need to waste your money...

There is also a Benihana for any fans at the Hilton Lake Buena Vista (they do validate parking )

If you are up for a challenge I'd go to Fantasia Mini-Golf (two very very different courses (Fairways & Gardens), the Fairways course will make you a real golfer...

I will definately stay here again thanks again for everything...

Room Tip: Rooms on the back of hotel face highway (with no real noise) rooms facing front look out at parking...

Asked about additional fees when booking. Lady said no additional fees. Got charged almost $16 for parking I consider that an additional fee. Called while out for evening to find out about delivery dining options. Lady told me to go down and get some coupons from front desk. When we arrived back at the hotel the concierge was nowhere to be found and the only person at front desk was on phone and didn't even acknowledge us.

We stayed here for 2 nights as we visited DIsney and Seaworld Dec15-16. The staff were all incredibly nice, from the fun bellhop who greeted us, to the very helpful front desk personnel and the awesome cleaning staff. (Thanks Victoria!) The rooms were newly remodeled, beautiful, spacious, quiet and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and the coffee in the room was so wonderful that we didn't even use the coupons we were given for free coffee downstairs. The warm cookies were wonderful. We were treated like special guests by everyone on staff. We loved our stay and will definitely recommend to friends and family going to Orlando.

From check in through checkout it couldn't have been better. Huge suite with door between living and bedroom. Wonderful bed and bedding. Microwave, small Fridge, coffee maker, safe and large bathroom. Nothing not to love. It was recently updated is probably why there was a little odor from the new carpet and furniture that manufactures use. The front desk was very accommodating as was the restaurant staff. The pool area was nice and very well kept. Disney bus service is every 1/2 hour to the parks and you can buy your tickets at the hotel Disney store for the same price and no waiting in line. Bus service to downtown Disney starts at 6pm but if you wanted to shop during the day the walk would not be bad. Best of all was the reasonable rate.

Room Tip: I requested a quieter spot and was on the 2nd floor away from the road. Take any paper napkins and...

We stayed here for 3 nights (Dec 14-17) in room 627 and were very very disappointed. Where to begin..... First, we are Gold and are loyal to the Hilton brand but I'm having serious doubts about staying at this property again in April. The location is great, the rooms size is perfect, I will admit that and only that.
Firstly, our "honors" room on the 6th floor was very warm (incredibly stuffy) and the toilet seat was peeling and tank cover were damaged/cracked. C'mon, you can do better than that! 2. the ice machine on our floor and other floors - broken. We had to go to the 4th floor to find ice. It remained broken for the duration of our stay. 3. Our room was NOT cleaned when we returned at 3:00 pm on Sunday! Annoying as we were exhausted and wanted to rest. We ended up taking a ride to "kill" time while we waited for our room to be cleaned. Went for coffee with our coupon but told by front desk that coupon only applies for the morning, even though our room wasn't cleaned, they offered us NOTHING! (but a warm chocolate chip cookie). Not good management skills, and we shouldn't have to ask, ridiculous. 4. Coffee machine in lobby, really? One measly little coffee machine for the entire hotel to get their morning coffee, talk about inconvenient. AND the gal in the market didn't know how to work it, 2 days later a sign was posted on how to operate the machine. Just wrong. Oh, and if you're paying for the coffee, it's $3- per cup and it's a small cup and not worth it, glad we had our coffee coupons. 5. Pillows...not at all, more like old sofa cushions, hard as a rock, square in shape and basically awful. IF we stay again, we will have to bring our own pillows. Shaking my head. 6. Back to the coffee, the lids did not fit the cups and again, no help. 7. Our Honors complimentary breakfast, which is continental, is a carb lovers dream come true, we are not carb eaters. IF one wants protein (hot) food, there is an up charge of $6.99 per person. Not even a hard boiled egg or a slice of cheese to be found. Hampton Inn breakfasts blow this away. Again, we'll bring our own food if we stay here again and warm it in the microwave. (if it works) 8. We found a coupon book when we got home! No one told us about the coupon book upon check in, everything was all kind of vague with the exception of warm chocolate chip cookies. Management needs to know, you do not keep loyal customers happy by offering unlimited warm chocolate chip cookies. Browsing for another location to stay in April that will meet our needs price wise and location wise, if not, we will suck it up and stay here again, but forewarned is forearmed.

I hope you give another chance in April. We have since completed a total replacement on our chiller and our AC’s are ice cold. Please contact me personally and I will see to it your next review is glowing!
