“Fantastic..All you need in one location!! 5Star!”
Reviewed March 24, 2010

I would strongly recommend this property. I consider myself a professional hotwire user! I am familiar with the location and was happy once again with the result. We paid 105.00 per night thru hotwire. The property will come up as 5 star, Seaworld, South International with Condo symbol. Our friends got this for 83.00 per night. Booking direct is approx 300.00 per night.
We loved this location, about 3 minutes from Seaworld, Seaworld Aquatica and International Drive restaurants etc. There is also a Publix and Walgreens within a minte.
This is a condo resort, we booked a one bedroom with kitchenette, dinning room, livingroom(pull out sofa). The unit was fully decked out with everything you would need. Granite and travertine tile thruought, high end cupboards and appliances. The resort is like a small town, with different areas named by towns in Florida. We stayed in the "Keys" and all thought it is near the back of the property, each sub-area has its own pools, cabanna's, billards (in door and out) workout room, out door washroom facilites(lavish as well). There is no skimping. The main pool area is fantastic as well, all pools are heated to a comfortable 80 degree temp. The main pool as a zero elevation area with a splash pad for small children or handicap. There is a set of waterfalls with a small grato behind them. The pools are all very large and designed in a fashion to allow privacy and not one big Bathtub like setting. There is plenty of food, shopping etc.
I was not approached at all for timeshare but they do have it. There is also security gated entrance and I saw lots of security on the property. Cribs are available at no extra charge. Upon check-in you will be given towel gift cards to exchange for pool towels. You can exchange them or clean them in your unit(each ahs washer and dryer)you must return the towels for the cards back to check out. If not you will be billed 20 dollars per towel. This resort is at the South end of the International Drive corridor. This road is very congested and busy at night due to the Convention Centre, so using the other exits near resort is a benifit. I would strongly recommend this resort even at top dollar. This was a home run all the way! I have pictures but there seem to be plenty on this site so if you need more jsut email me.
Enjoy your choice!

We exchanged into Vistana Villages in mid- March. The location is excellent; the resort beautifully kept, the amenities many, activities varied.

We were in the Garden Section, Building 8, Room 205. The room was standard resort, a little on the older side. The carpet needs to be replaced and it could use an update. It is fully loaded with dishes; pots and pans, as well as a stackable washer and dryer. All units are 2 bedroom. This particular unit would sleep 8 - 6 comfortably (no one on the fold out). It sat on a pond and had a screened in porch with a wrought iron table and 4 chairs which was a pleasant surprise and an awesome addition!! This resort is one of only a few that offer a mid-week tidy.

The location of buildings 8-12 are just a short walk away from the beautiful pool.
The pool is heated and very large, there is a wading section for little ones; 3 lap lanes; and a waterfall. There is a second 'quiet' pool that had a hot tub near it. We didn't take advantage of this location. Plenty of deck chairs and a card system for towels. They also have a shopping area on deck where you could get sunscreen; lip balm; hats; glasses and the like. The resort offers all day activities for kids as well as adults. They all appeared to be well attended.

There is a snack bar that serves alcohol as well as smoothies and soft drinks. We had lunches and snacks there and the service was excellent and the food very good.

We will stay at this location again and again. Being on International Drive, around the corner from Sea World and a few miles from both Universal and Disney are also good reasons to vacation at Vistana Villages. It is a member of the Starwood family, good quality at a good price. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Villages for my mother-in-law's 50th birthday last year when we went to Disney World. I'm sure someone out there may be confused about the difference between the villages and the resort. They are 2 completely different properties, and being that I've stayed at both, I know a little of the differences. Both hotels are nice, but the villages are newer, and from my understanding are intended more for timeshare opportunities.
It's a great value if you're traveling with family as you can split the cost for a room, which makes your vacation so much more affordable. They offer 1-3 bedroom villas. We had a 2 bedroom villa, that ended up working out perfectly for us. The 2 bathrooms in the room was also huge. The property also boasts 2 pools, with 2 jacuzzis. The pools are both excellent. The main pool with a giant waterfall.
The hotel doesn't provide transportation to Disney which is a bit of a bummer, but overall it is a great hotel for the money. Very nice rooms, big an spacious, with balconies, 2 bathrooms, and a full kitchen which also helps on money. Overall a great hotel, one that I hope to stay at again!

My husband and I took our five year-old back to the Vistana Village again, a year after our first visit. We love this property! We stayed in the Keys but I can honestly say that I don't think there are any "bad" locations to stay here. The grounds are beautiful and everything seems well maintained. The rooms always seem a tiny bit spotty on the cleaning but nothing to really complain about. There are three pools - main pool where all the activities take place, the new pool which is in the St. Augustine section and has the pirate ship, and the Key pool which is low key but my favorite after a day of being around lots of people. All the pools are heated which was helpful since Orlando had a cool spell while we were there. Here are some facts/tips:
1- Disney ticket booth on property so if you will call tickets you can pick them up at the Sheraton without having to stand in line at Disney or find another location.
2-Great kitchen for cooking but I always bring from home: salt, pepper, a bit of cooking oil, a pitcher, cocktail shaker, some baggies, and a few extra dishwasher tabs. There is a Publix a block away and a liquor store near there.
3- A couple playgrounds, lots of BBQ grills (gas), game rooms, tennis courts, volleyball, shuffleboard, pool, air hockey, etc.
4- We purchased a couple's massage in a cabana by the pool. I was expecting it to be average but it was a great massage (deep tissue.) Two massages for $140.00.
5- A new Bennihana is across the street- we had a so-so experience there. A surprisingly large outlet mall with great stores is also down the street.
6- Our son loved making tie dyed shirts (one of the activities they offer daily.) They also have a smore night to watch movies by the pool on a blow up screen. There is a list each day of things to do.

This visit we didn't answer our phone when anyone called because we were determined to have nothing to do with the time share presentations. (Suffice it to say, last year's presentation was a nightmare.) That and the restaurant would be the only negative. I am baffled how they can't support a decent restaurant with the amount of people that are staying on the property! I was pretty shocked at the lack of options and quality of the menu. Otherwise this hotel is a great place to stay and play!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We were in building 23 near the St. Augustine Pool. The St. Augustine pool is the newest pool with all of the kids attractions--slides, pirate ship, etc. There were 4 life guards on duty. We checked out the main pool, which was great. We didn't see the other ones. If we had more time, we would of spent it at the pools. Apparently there are older and newer buildings. Make sure you ask for a newer one. I didn't see the older ones, but due to the other responses, I would wonder. Our room was spotless and the beds were comfortable. My kids slept on the pullout couch with they liked. We didn't use the kitchen much with the exception of the refridgerator and bowls for cereal. The cleaning staff did load and run the dishwasher everyday with the dishes we did use (plus the souvenier plates/cups from Sea World). It did have a nice eating area. We didn't accept the "welcome package" since I knew from the reviews that it was to sell you time shares. They did leave a message everyday about it, but that was it. We found this hotel via hotwire for $79 night (1 bedroom). It is easy to find because it was the only resort condo near seaworld. It had a decent restaurant onsite.

Our family spent 4 awesome days at this family friendly resort. From the minute we drove through the gates we knew it was very special. We stayed in a two bedroom suite in building 30 that was very well laid out and decorated. It was spotless and backed onto a little lake with a fountain. The grounds are immaculate. It was very cool in Florida when we went (Feb 23-27) but staying at the resort kinda made up for it. The swimming pools were great and ranged in temperatures from something like 88 degrees and up. The kids pool had lots of lifeguards around who were very attentive and even helped out my 5 year old. The hotel take-out menu was very reasonably priced and the food was fine. The 3 LCD TVs were great and all of the inputs were available to plug in your camcorder, etc. There was even a DVD player.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. I even had one of the cleaning staff run out to our car as we were leaving to say I had left a drawer full of stuff. There was also an opportunity to save quite a bit of money on Disney tickets if you were willing to spend 90 minute one on one with a sales association trying to get you to buy into their vacation packages. Even they were nice but you have to be able to say no. Also, once the first sales pitch is over and you're leaving...get ready for the second one. Next time we go we just won't bother as we actually wasted an entire morning (got into the session at 8:00 a.m. and didn't leave until almost 11:00 am, much longer than 90 minutes!). So the money you save on the tickets you'll lose an entire morning at Disney which ins't very cost effective!!!

This was our 2nd stay at Sheraton Vistana Villages. We stayed in a premium one bedroom unit in the Key West section. This one bedroom was about 1,000 sq ft with a screened in porch, beautiful modern kitchen and a spacious bathroom with jacuzzi tub, double vanity and huge walk in shower. Be careful because not all one bedroom units are the same at this resort. According to the floor plan, a one bedroom could range from 500-600 sq ft to the premium 1,000-,1100 sq ft units. The resort has one of the best pool complexes that I have ever seen. At the Key West section, the pool is smaller than the main pool but it is heated and seems warmer. There is also a hot tub. The grounds are beautiful for walking. My only criticism would be that the living room furniture was worn out and uncomfortable and the quality of the beddings and linens was average. The Sheraton Hotels have the trademark Sweet Sleeper beds which are wonderful. The mattress and sheets at this resort were at best okay. After a week of sleeping on the bed, both my husband and I had achy backs. The couch had no support left and needed to be replaced. The resort location is good. Several restaurants nearby and a Publix. Only a few miles from Walt Disney World and even closer to Sea World.
