We stayed at the Pop Century Resort May 4th - May 8th. The hotel was fun and clean. Our room was small, but we didn't stay much in the room. The pools were great, water was just right . There was activities for the kids in the daytime and a movie in the evening. We requested a lake view room and was given one. We could see the fireworks at Epcot in the evening from the room. We used the disney transportation and for the most part it was good. I think they need to add a few more buses for the Magic Kingdom park. That bus was always crowded and we had a much longer wait for the bus coming to and from the park. I have to give Kudos to the Pop Century Staff. My Granddaughter came down with the Stomache flu on the last night that we were to stay at Pop. The next morning we were to check out at 11. Our flight wasn't scheduled to leave until 6 in the evening. I called the front desk and told them what was going on with my granddaughter and she said that she could extend our check out to 1pm without any fee, I thanked her and then she said let me speak to my manager and see if we can get a later check out time. A few minutes later Nd she called Barack with a 2:30 check out time. This was a lifesaver!! Our magic express time was 2:55 so we were able to stay in the room until our bus arrived. We would not hesitate to go back to the Pop Century. Our family had a great time and the value is nice on the vacation budget too!

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to transportation. The 50's building with a lake view is perfect.

We stayed here one night of a six night trip to Disney. This clearly is a budget property and it is quite evident. The parking area is located in the front of the property and the rooms are scattered in buildings through out the property - this could lead to a very long walk to your room with no bell boys or assistance. The rooms are postage stamp size, and have the bare necessities. There is no in room coffee, and the towels were paper thin. Beds were very firm and jiggled every time you moved on them. There was a very tiny window with only a small amount of natural light in the room. We literally would hear the conversation of the people in the room next to us and they were not overly loud. You can hear every yelling and crying child, and every door closing for quite a distance away. The rooms were clean and the food in the community dining area was quite tasty. The ONLY advantage to staying here was access to the Disney transportation and being able to pre book fast passes and dining. Would not rerun or recommend.

This is a value motel not a hotel. The rooms are small (think motel 6) and its no frills. You get a clean room with bed, a sink, shampoo, towels, and an area to hang your clothes. The door doesn't even open all the way because the bed stops it from opening. You don't get any extras that the moderate price hotels give you, but you ARE on property, and that's what counts.

If you're someone who doesn't have kids and want a little more peace and quiet, this is not the place for you. I'd pick the Port Orleans French Quarter for that. If you don't mind waking up to overly active screaming kids, and a food court full of loud families, then stay here. I don't mean it in a bad way. Its noisy. Families and sports teams stay here. Cheerleaders, soccer kids, baseball kids, kids of all ages.......

The best part of Pop is they have their own bus. Unlike All stars, who share busses, Pop has their own stop, but they have a HUGE property. There's pools for eveyrone to enjoy, a decent gift shop, big food court, and plenty of parking. Its not "that" cheap, but off season it can run a low as $80 per night with discounts such as passholder, auto club, etc.

Lazy folks: splurge and get a room close to the lobby. Its worth it if you don't want to walk 15 minutes to the room after a long day at the parks.

Room Tip: Splurge and get a room close to the lobby. Worth the extra cost

I stayed at Disney's Pop! Century Resort from May 2-5. It was just two people. The rooms were on the smaller side. The one double bed was practically in front of the door! The shades were also coming off the wall. The bathroom was ok, and felt very up-to-date. But the bulb kept going out for the light, and the fan goes automatically with the light. The curtain between the room and the vanity was broken and had lots of stains. And it was DIRTY! The room had bits of food all over the carpet, and the drawers were filled with crumbs! The bathroom had baby powder on the floor, and we had to clean it all of it up ourselves. One of the beds had ketchup stains on it. The staff was ok, not fantastic. Not friendly, but not rude either. There were 2 very passionate employees, one was the Disney Vacation Club rep, and the other was a clerk at the gift shop section of everything Pop! The buses were the only mode of transportation, which is fine, but they can get busy. Check what is happening at Disney when you stay, because that is the "value" resort option for ESPN Wide World of Sports and other Disney-run activities. Overall, just ok. The only other hotels I have stayed at when at Disney are Deluxe, and it is a definite downgrade. You get what you pay for at Disney.

Room Tip: Does not seem to make a difference. Stayed in the 60's section, closest to the main building.

I was pleasantly surprised with our stay. I figured being a value resort that we would dread spending time at Pop Century, but we liked it so much we spent considerable amount of time during our 6 day trip. If you check in online the line is less than 10 minutes. Arrived at 12pm and we had a room available. HIGHLY recommend to get a room in the 60's building. 2 minute walk to the Hippy Dippy pool (which is BEAUTIFUL with a poolside bar), 2 min walk to pop diner and shop, and 2 minute walk to the buses and lobby. Our room was facing the lake in the back so it was extremely quiet and relaxing. Our room was small, but we don't need a lot of room. Most importantly it was very clean and we did not see not 1 bug during our 6 days. The buses to all theme parks was less than 10 min wait on any day, and the buses were not that crowded (we come from NYC so we don't care). Everything about this trip was magical and we have absolutely no complaints about this resort. Would stay again!

We stayed at 7 hotels on our last road trip and so we had lots to compare to. The feature set of this hotel was pretty basic, but man o man was it it good condition! The cocking around the tile in the shower, the pure clean of the sink, the dustless air conditioner... All a far cry from regular hotels with basic rooms.

While we were there they were repairing the already vivid exterior. Disney is obviously committed to making every guests' stay as good as possible.

The restaurant on site is very good. It's similar to the restaurant at EPCOT at The Land. It's a cafeteria with several offerings.
The pools have life guards.
There are busses to all the parks.
And you can't beat the decorations. My babies loved the Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads and the Mickey phone.

While one of the cheaper disney properties, it easily schools any regular hotel of the same category.

Room Tip: Rooms in the 60s section or parts of the 70s are closest to the busses. The 90s is maybe 500 yards f...

Stayed in this resort during may. One night upon returning to the room, a huge roach flew into the room. This was witnessed by a member of staff that was at our door. This member of staff decided it was best to run away and do nothing. After 5 pointless calls to front desk and an hour later waiting, no action was taken nor did the fabled manager I asked for in the 3rd call arrive. After having to threaten with a complaint (to which no member of staff was kind enough to explain where we could lodge said complaint), Ica, the shift or duty manager decided to leisurely stroll along. This man was rude, I will not go into details, but this type of service anywhere else gets you fired. How you manage a resort is beyond me. Lack of action by the staff and after an hour waiting, Ica, decided all would be made better by giving us a fastpass. Wow thanks mister, can I use the fastpass to get you to act on issues with your guests sooner. Please avoid this place at all costs. Oh and thanks for ruining the magical disney experience Ica, hope you have a magical day.
