We took a quick trip to see Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. This was our second time to stay here. We asked for a preferred room (a little extra $), and stayed in the 50's area, and had a corner room very close to the main building. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean. I was looking forward to the grilled salmon in the Food Court, but it wasn't on the menu. I was hungry by the time we got checked in, but made the mistake of trying their fish and chips. They were basically fried fish sticks, and very greasy. Since I don't eat beef or pork my choices were limited. The food was priced high, but it is a vacation resort. We would stay there again, but will plan to not rely on the Food Court for dinner unless there are tastier options.

I recommend the All Star resorts. We will not stay at Pop Century again. They conserve electricity by programming the thermostats to default to auto settings which make the rooms very uncomfortable while you are sleeping. We complained and maintenance turned the air to 65 but it still defaulted to auto at night. We complained again so they moved us to a room that had a worse A/C issue. We didn't want to pack again so we had to deal with it. The cafeteria is extremely chaotic and most of the employees working it seem to hate their jobs so plan an hour to 2 hours if you are eating at the hotel. The bis pick up/ drop off for Pop is always the furthest walk at any of the parks. And since this hotel doesn't share with the Other resorts expect over crowded busses everything you get on. This can be an issue when you have to stand in the sun for 30 minutes waiting on another bus because the one you were in line for is filled to capacity before you get on. And if there are any persons using a scooter expect longer waits. The bus will accomodate two scooters. The scooters take up at least 5 to 6 six seats and then the person using the scooter along with his/her entire family are given priority seating. We have seen up to 10 seats taken up by families using scooters. And they don't have to wait so it won't matter how long you wait for a bus, be prepared to stand and hold on.

We stayed in the 70's building and it was very quiet, and still fairly close to the main building and shuttles. Our kids enjoyed the pool and many of the poolside activities. My husband and I enjoyed Petals bar by the pool. :). There was a good selection of food and all the amenities you'd want in a budget friendly hotel. The shuttle service seems to be quicker than when we stayed at All Stars Movies, but with the crowds so low this month we decided to drive to the parks most days since its free parking with your parking pass. Love this value resort!

You have to know a few things about value Disney hotels. You'll have the longest walk to and from the parks at night to your bus, they're more crowded and have less highbrow food options, plus have more crowded busses to the parks.

Now, having said all that, keep in mind you can get a room here for under a 100 bucks some days of the year if you play your cards right. No, it's not the fancy ones with Monorail service, but I had no issues with service, bed bugs, cleanliness, or heck even the buses on this round at the Pop. Your vacation is going to cost enough as it is, and if you are spending 12 hours a day in the park, you really are in the room to sleep and shower. These hotels are the cheapest way to stay on-property and get the benefits of doing so-while they still have them. The bus service is useful, especially from the airport and you are saving about 200 bucks by not having to rent a car or use taxis.

I don't know what to tell people about the "preferred room". It's near the biggest and noisiest pool, and truthfully, if you are in the right building in the 80's or 90's, it's a straight shot to your room from the bus stop and possibly an even shorter trip than you would have in the preferred area. But they are the closest to the food court if you have the refillable mugs.

The food court is always a zoo. It won't matter when you go. Trust me. Also not the greatest food in the world, but it's there in case of emergency. The POP waffles are pretty tasty and not a bad deal if you buy it on its own.

The rooms are small, but would be fine for two or maybe even three adults. I would say if you really want to stay on property, give the POP a try, it's not super expensive and it's safe and clean.

Thank you very much to all the staff who work at Pop Century, from the luggage team to the restaurant, pool and reception staff. You make a big difference in our stay.
Needless to say that all the staff was great, very helpful, very friendly and really made us feel very welcome at this beautiful property.
The room was just fine, it is what you expect in a Disney Value Resort, very clean and organized as well.
We stayed at the 50's building and was really good, the only down side is that you are a bit far from the main building, which means you have to walk a bit every day, which is not a big problem.
The restaurant inside the hotel is a mix of restaurant/ food court and market, it has a great variety of food and drinks and the staff works very hard to keep it nice and clean.
There is a store as well, come on, it is Disney, everywhere you go there is a Disney Store, they have a great variety, so a lot of things we saw in the parks we bought at the hotel, so we didn't have to be carrying it around.
The pool has some recreation staff who work very hard to keep the kids busy.
I got the promotion with the dinning plan which was amazing. We enjoyed every sing moment at WDW. I will share my comments about the restaurants we visited and attractions.
We also used the Disney Magical Express service, if you can use, do it, great added service to your stay.
Nowadays everyone talks about personalized service, but when you arrive at the hotel and there is a box with your wrist bands with your name and the name of the family on the box and on the bands, wow, that's personalization.
The is the second year in a row we spent our vacation in Orlando, last year we stayed at the Art of Animation and this time Pop Century, can't wait till the next vacation.
Till there, thanks WDW.

The hotel offers confort and good leisure areas for a reasonable price, including the parking lot. The rooms are clean and have enought space for luggages and personal staff. I would recommend this Hotel.

Room Tip: Try to book the ones in front of the pool!
