We like this value resort but if you have trouble walking make sure you ask for a room near the bus stop. Ask for a ground floor. Unlike the other value resorts (except the new Annimation which is a little higher priced) there is only one bus stop. The rooms do not have queen or king beds which can be a real problem for a family. The pools are very nice and the staff are Disney friendly and helpful. You can also walk across the bridge to see Annimation. It is interesting to see how many people decorate their windows and it does help to find your room. It is also a plus to have those large Disney characters to help you find your way. They are also good picture opportunities. We have stayed there many times and have never been bothered by noise but we are early risers. The food court is noisy but the food is fine and you can always find a place to sit.

The room was small, but totally adequate. The beds were OK, but when you spend sun-up to sun-down at one of the Disney Parks every day for a week, you don't even notice. The maid service was great as well. I would definitely stay here or any of the other value resorts again.

Room Tip: We stayed facing the lake and it was very quiet. If you need something closer to the bus stops, you...

My 7 year old daughter and I stayed three nights at Disney's Pop Century Resort April 19 - 22. My Disney travel agent advised me that this was a true "value" resort -- no frills and over-the-top themes. Considering that I wanted to splurge on experiences, meals and gifts for my daughter at the Disney parks we visited, and we were really at the resort only to sleep and swim, the value option worked out great for us. My daughter loved the bright colors and asked me a lot of questions about the different decades ("Mom, were you alive in the 1950s?" -- uh, no!). Our room was clean and sufficient for how little we were in it. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The maid service was timely and accommodated our requests. The food options in the food court were typical fare -- pancakes, egg dishes, waffles for breakfast; burgers, chicken nuggets, some "gourmet" sandwiches for lunch. We did not have dinner at the resort, and I paid out of pocket for all meals as we did not opt for the meal plan. Prices were expensive but I knew, and accepted, that fact going into this trip.

For me, the best part of staying at a Disney resort is that I did absolutely no driving all weekend. The Disney Magical Express shuttle picked us up from and returned us to the Orlando airport. The shuttle buses took us to and from Epcot on Saturday and the Magic Kindgom on Sunday. The trip could not have been easier.

Location, Location, Location~ This is a great value hotel for your money and the location and transportation is also great! You don't have to worry about driving anywhere if going to any Walt Disney attraction! We go often to Disney and tend to stay at Pop Century. We ask for a hotel room close to the main lobby for food and short walk to the buses and they always accommodate. We also ask for the first floor too, this is great for when you arrive late from all day at the park, it's much easier with kids. The staff is also very friendly and the rooms are clean. Love the stay there~

Room Tip: Ask for a first floor room and close to the main lobby for a short distance walk to the bus area.

Pop Century is a large resort so if you are not staying in a preferred room, you could be doing a lot of walking. Our room was of course wonderful, clean and the beds were great. Everything was definitely DISNEY. The food was good in the food court. The room had 2 double beds, flat screen TV, frig and everything was very clean. Only issues we had was the buses for the resorts. We had to wait for a long time at every park we visited. In most cases, as many as 3 other resort buses came and went before the Pop Century bus came. The Art of Animation resort is close enough that you could ride their bus and walk home.
Would stay here again.

I took my granddaughter on her first trip to Disney. We booked through AAA. It was supposed to be a "preferred room". It was filthy. There were bugs in the light fixtures, carpet was worn out, & refrigerator was broken. We had to keep asking for towels. they never gave us a bag for the ice. I can't believe I paid what I did for such a terrible place. You should be ashamed to advertise it like it is a nice hotel.

Room Tip: Do not stay here

We hesitantly stayed at Disney's POP Century the first time when it was new - I was very surprised how much fun it was, the quality of service and food options in the very good Food Court. We usually stay at Disney's deluxe resorts, and sometimes a moderate resort, but decided to try POP for a last minute weekend - we returned 5 times and enjoyed most stays. It is not for everyone - walls are a bit thin, food court can be busy, and the icons around the resort are huge...but...with the right spirit it really can be a fun and easy on the budget place to stay. There is a plenty to enjoy about this value resort.

Room Tip: Bldg 3 has very nice standard room lake views ( and some fireworks), bldg 5 has excellent standard r...
