“A great value!”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

We stayed last week in the 50's building- ground level in a standard room. We had 2 double beds. Room was good for the price. The fridge was not working well and we brought some medication that needed to be refrigerated. Called front desk and a cast member was there quickly with a brand new replacement. There are multiple pools. I preferred the standard room, as the pools are surrounded the the buildings, and could be noisy if the pools are busy. Might not matter if you spend all days at one of the parks. Pool was heated, and staffed except later in the night. The food at the resort is average, but if on the dining plan you can eat at the other restaurants in the parks.Overall staff was wonderful and made our stay very pleasant. No weight room facility or treadmills on site.

Just returned from a week's stay at Disney's Pop Century. This is my 4th time to stay here and I truly love it. The rooms may be small but plenty large enough for the amount of time you stay in them. There were two of us that stayed here for a week recently and we had a wonderful time. We never had to wait long for a bus, and the great thing about the Pop bus situation is that they have their own buses. They do not share with any of the other resorts like the Allstar hotels do. I have no complaints at all concerning this hotel. Typical Disney which I am a big fan of.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room was just ok. Nothing bad. But the transportation to the parks was amazing and easy. And the staff was helpful. I will be staying here again next time we go to Disney. I love how many pools they have. We didn't swim but I'm sure if I had kids they would love it. And they even had a movie at the pool one of the nights.

We loved the busses to and from the parks... Always available and quick! No waiting around after a long day at the parks. Check in was quick and friendly. Rooms are big enough for a couple, we had more than enough room. Envious of the AOA next door... They had much better food (cruise over the bridge to dine there) and would like to use their pools instead. Overall a great value.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times because of prices and location inside of Disney. This hotel is not fancy, pretty basic actually, but with Disney touches added. This hotel is quite large and certain sides of it can be quite a distance to walk to the lobby and to the buses. The pools are open 24 hours a day which is really nice especially in the hot summer and when you are so exhausted from walking the parks all day you need a cool dip. The cafeteria style restaurant has decent options but during typical dining hours it is a mad house. Go off hours if you can help it. The rooms are small but clean. If you are going park to park all day long than it really doesn't make a difference if you spend 80 a night or 300 a night to stay at a fancier hotel. The staff is always helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Ask to be as close to the lobby as possible. Go to the restaurant on off hours to be able to get a...

We stayed at the Pop Century From Jan 29/13 to Feb.9/13
This is a great hotel if you are only using it as a place to sleep. Nothing fancy just your basic room. We stayed in the 60's section facing the lagoon,(which I would recomend) it was nice and close to pool and the cafeteria. The food at this hotel was just ok ( basic cafeteria style)
We booked the disney dining plan that included one snack, one quick service and one sit down meal. We thought it was worth it, We would have paid way more for food than what the dining plan cost us. (We did get a discount on the dining plan) The shuttle service is great and exclusive to pop, so no stopping at other hotels! Due to this being a "value" resort there were lots of cheerleading teams staying at this resort. Some mornings the cafeteria was a gong show. The one night we stayed at magic kingdom till close and all these cheerleading groups were in front of us trying to catch the bus back to the hotel. We stood there for 1 hour and 5min to get on a bus! That was a longer wait time then any ride we had been on!! lol
All in all great value for what you get

Great value. You get free shuttle to and from Disney Parks anytime day or night. Food court has nice variety and good food. Rooms are small but you can save a lot of money by staying at Pop Century. Rooms are cleaned each day. By paying $10 extra you get a preferred room. Preferred rooms will give you a closer location to buses and food court. This can be quite helpful if you don't want a lot of walking (you will get a lot of walking at the Parks). Some of the rooms can be quite a distance to walk. Pools are heated and went swimming even though temperature was cool. All workers were helpful and friendly. Enjoyed my stay again.

Room Tip: Pay for preferred room if don't want a lot of extra walking.
