Disney's Pop Century Resort
Ranked #124 of 341 Hotels in Orlando

Myself and girlfriend spent 10 days at Disney's POP century Resort in July and had a great time there. I've stayed at other Disney properties (All Star Sports several times & Carribean Breach) and POP has been my favourite so far.

We had a room in the 60's area with the Giant Baloo & Mowgli figures outside, our room was on the back facing hourglass lake - it was lovely and quiet and no more than a couple of minutes walk to the Food Court.

We made full use of the refillable mugs they offer - about $15 and it's all the soft drinks you can manage for your whole stay.

All the staff we encountered were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

We did have a car but also made extensive use of the complimentary bus service to all the parks - one handy tip is that the new Art of Animation resort which is connected to POP via a bridge is not far away. We used their buses a couple of times when the parks were emptying and if the queue for the POP buses looked a little long.

I'd definately consider staying here again and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Rooms that face the pool area could be noisey - the pool is open till late. Try to get one on the o...

My son & I have stayed here twice in the past year and love it. The atmosphere, music, colors, and celebration of culture are great. They have mixed the past with the present, and hit a gold mine. We can not wait to go back in November.

Stayed for 10 nights in April 2012, we looked at spending more to stay closer to some of the parks etc, but for the amount of time we spend in a room I couldn't justify a couple hundred more a night just for that convience.( very glad with my decision) Pop century is big, but not nearly as bad as some other reviews state. It takes about 7 mins from the 90's building to the lobby/food court. The 90's is one of the farthest away and also nice and quiet ( we have no kids) the room we had seemed like it had new carpet and the bed was comfy....didn't hear anything through the walls that you wouldn't hear anywhere else. The busses run about every 10 or 15mins and there seems to be less of a wait than the other resorts ( probably due to the large number of guests at PC) if you have kids be prepared to walk ALOT( everything from bus location to the gates, to going to eat, downtown disney etc etc) don't complain... disney is literally like 65 MILES square!!!

Enjoy your trip!

Room Tip: 90's are quiet for sure

Hope this is helpful to somebody. We stayed at Pop Century after previously staying at The Caribean and All Stars and it is definitely the best of the three despite it's size and price grading. The pools were great, the food court served far better food than the others and the rooms had a fridge which helped with keeping drinks cool overnight, and curtains across the sink area - great when you have a couple of teenagers wanting privacy despite you having seen it all before! The only downside to this one was the lack of directions to it. It's not in a 'resort area' as such but the road to it is just opposite the entrance to Wide World of Sports. We tended to follow the directions to that. Also, on exiting the resort for cheaper food and shopping (we had a car) the signs to the 192 took us all around the houses, but a simple right turn towards Animal Kingdom, instead of a left following the 192 sign, takes you to 192 West very quickly. Have a nice holiday!!

Room Tip: Go for the 60s block, at the back away from the noise of the pool. It's quiet with a view of th...

We come to Disney World and few times a year from Phoenix to either kill a few days before our Disney Cruises or for a 10 day vacation over New Years Eve. Either way, we are never in the room. We are the crazy ones who are at the park for he rope drop for morning magic hours and we stay until 3am for the night magic hours. With that said, it suits us just fine. If we were wanting more than just a basic motel room, we would go elsewhere. It's hard because when we visit because we are staying on property at the peak season when the Pop reaches close to $200 a night, where the Polynesian and Animal Kingdom are $500-$700 a night. I still think $200 a night is a lot for this property but when we are there for 10 nights, it's the only property that we can justify while not spending any time in the room. The only downsides are that the hotel is huge, you will walk a ways to get to your room if you don't have a preferred room. We had a preferred room during our last visit and it made all the diffence. I highly recommend it. And, the walls are super thin and if you have loud, screaming parents and children next door like we did, you will find it hard to sleep.

It's a great hotel for a moderate price, nice location with great amenities. I stayed in front of the pool and really near to the lobby that it's great to take the buses. The only thing that I don't like is that they only gave me two soaps in my vacation of one week and only one toilet paper roll and I have 3 kids and my husband. But it's a great hotel according their location and amenities
