Description: Share in a one-of-a-kind celebration of music and culture as Bob Marley: A Tribute to Freedom at Universal CityWalk takes you on a musical journey through the life of the "King of Reggae." Bob Marley’s songs of faith, hope, rebellion, and determination have brought inspiration and joy to audiences everywhere. Working closely with Rita Marley and the Bob Marley Foundation, we have created a replica of Bob's home on 56 Hope Road in Kingston, Jamaica. Inside, artifacts, photos, and video clips from his legendary career surround visitors in the open-air veranda and courtyard. The cuisine features Jamaican-influenced appetizers, entrees and desserts. Some of the most popular items are the Oxtail Stew, the Sun is Shining grilled chicken breast marinated in Jamaican curry sauce, and the Taste of Jamaica appetizer platter featuring veggie & beef patties, mango wings and yucca fries.

“OK, great music and friendly service.”

Food was just ok, but music and ambience made up for what it lacked. Happy they had heaters outside, which made a cool Florida night dinner el fresco.

“Wonderful - Will be back!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

Wonderful. I had the veggie patty. I had pictured a veggie burger patty, but it actually looks more like an empanada. The filling was absolutely delicious. Very flavorful. Yuca fries were a little dry but also good. My husband is still raving about the oxtail he had. He also loved the rice & red beans that came with his dish. They have live music starting at 9pm. I would love to go back and hopefully catch the music as well. Waitress was very friendly. So far our favorite place at Universal City Walk.

“GROOVY!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2013

First, the music was really good - a local reggae band, but they played a decent range of music (not just all Marley), and they had people dancing.

Second, nice setting - you feel like you have walked into a courtyard somewhere else. It's not mobbed with the tourist set like Margaritaville.

Third, drinks were good (judging from how I felt the next day, perhaps a little TOO good!). Reasonable prices, friendly bartenders.

All in all, it was one of the better and less touristy places I hung out at while visiting Universal.

“Not as good as I had hoped”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 13, 2013

We made reservations prior to trip. Service was good, music great but food not so much. Paper cups for your drinks. Not much for kids unless yours like different foods. No chicken fingers!!
