Owner description: There are many ways to enjoy your Orlando vacation, but there is only one place where vacation becomes adventure: Universal Orlando Resort. It is a unique destination featuring two theme parks, Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure, three magnificently themed on-site hotels and a nighttime entertainment complex. It's the only Orlando destination where you are not just entertained - you become part of the most exhilarating entertainment ever created. You can soar above Hogwarts with Harry Potter, swing above the streets with Spider-Man, battle aliens alongside Agent J, and help Shrek save Princess Fiona in Shrek 4-D. Now open: the new, heart-warming and hilarious Despicable Me Minion Mayhem ride. And coming soon: Transformers The Ride-3D. Universal Orlando Resort is part of NBCUniversal, a Comcast company.

The attention to detail at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter was incredible. For children or adults who have read the books or seen the movies, it is wonderful. Some people even visit in costume. Lineups can be long at this park - especially during peak season, but we stayed at a Universal hotel and used our early park entrance and free express passes to avoid the lines. The Forbidden Journey is the most popular ride. It's inside the Hogwarts castle, so you should go there first. Dragon Challenge is likely the next most popular ride. We rode both dragons and really enjoyed this coaster. We also enjoyed butterbeer. We liked it best frozen. And the Ollivander's wand experience was wonderful. It was worth waiting in line to watch the Wand Choose a Wizard.

This is a magical attraction that is very true to the books. There is Hogswart, Olivander's, the candy shop and shops. There is an incredible ride inside Hogswart that is not for the faint of heart.

Amazing! Come at the end of the day - the lines were just 10 minutes long and the settings are beautiful. Fun for kids and adults.

Even after seeing endless photos of the theme park I was still in awe to see what a spectacular job they did in making you feel like you were transported to Hogsmeade and of course Hogwarts. The Forbidden Journey ride/castle tour even excited by husband who isn't as big of a Potter fan as myself and my 11 and 13 year old. The line to go into Olivander's wand shop was long so we stepped into the shop next door. We were greeted by a very knowledgable wizard in robes who gave my daughter an extensive rundown of all the wands. We also decided to eat lunch at The Three Broomsticks mostly for the atmosphere. We were very pleasantly surprised that the food was far better than theme park fare.

Though we waited about an hour in line, the experience was well worth it! The ride actually begins as soon as you enter the castle. I won't spoil it so I won't let you know what is next but go if you can.
