We spent a week at this resort and had a great time. Having both the JW Marriott pool and bars/restaurants was a great feature, as it was a quick walk home after a few cocktails! The facility and environment was a lot of fun: we used the paddle boats, bike rental, and walked the property seeing alligators, herons, turtles, fish, frogs, and so many beautiful birds.

My almost-seven-year-old daughter spent a lot of time in the kids club (Treehouse) and LOVED it. It was hard to get her out of there sometimes! The staff in the kids club was lovely and were really committed to their work.

While not near Disney, it is a great location for access to outlet malls, and you can get anywhere with a car!

We will be back for sure.

This property is unique to the Orlando area in that it is slightly 'removed' from the busy boulevards of hotels, time shares, dining establishments and attractions that clutter the Orlando/Disney area. But, it is close enough to all those attractions that they are all 'right around the corner'. We love that the property is shared with the Ritz Carlton and borders a wonderful golf course.

This property has the feel of a boutique villa and our unit this time was a two story, three bedroom semi-detached with an immaculate well-equipped kitchen. The towels are extremely plush, the beds 'top class' and the furnishings are beautiful.

The staff take great care of the well-landscaped property. I don't know how they do it, because I never hear a blower or power equipment.

The pool and slide area is fantastic. But empty. If you are looking for a place where the pool is packed with kids and adults screaming, throwing balls and climbing over one another - this is NOT the place for you. The bar near the pool (Blossoms) has great fare, excellent drinks and there is ALWAYS room poolside to enjoy it....

"Tranquil" is the one word I would use to describe Marriott Lakeshore Reserve. And that is exactly what I want when coming back from a day with at the Mouse race.

Highly recommended.

Room Tip: They have both 'hotel type' rooms and condo-type units. Rooms near the propane grills are gr...

The rooms are immaculate, with everything you need catered for. The pool area is spacious and relaxing and the location is perfect for the parks, shops and restaurants and everything else Orlando has to offer :)

The staff were really helpful and quick and efficient at check in. The bar area offers a brilliant selection of food and drink and there are daily activities on offer for all ages to enjoy.

Overall a fantastic resort that is truly 5 *

If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando, but still be close to it all, this is the place. We recently stayed in a 3-bedroom Villa, and it was very nice, clean and spacious.

Pros: Chairs ALWAYS available by the pool, even during busy Spring weeks. The Slides are a great time for all ages! The pool is nice, and depending on the time, you can literally feel like you are by yourself in it. Nice kids club, with good ppl. Beautiful grounds.

Cons: Being thats its such a small place, the activities are lacking. There were times that we were the only guests doing the activities. I dont think this is all the resorts' issue, as a lot of guests are probably at the Parks or just dont care enough to do the activities. Resort could use one of those giant resin Chess Sets. The bar was probably put in the wrong location. It should probably be adjacent to the lobby where there are some pool tables currently. Almost everyone hangs out by the zero-entry area of the pool, which puts it out of site/mind.

All in All, a great place that we would return to in a heartbeat. It just needs a "little push" complete the experience.

Room Tip: There's really only 4 buildings, so not a lot of choice. 2 of the buildings are the Townhomes...

We loved our recent stay at lakeshore reserve. The villas are beautiful and very modern. The pool area with the waterslides and lazy river are enough to keep you busy for several days. If that's not enough our family really enjoyed the cornhole, ping pong, pool table and shuffleboard. The kids really like the playground as well. Every encounter we has with the hotel staff was friendly and professional, including meeting the General Mgr Mr. James Hall. James was very helpful and accomodating and really runs a great property. We would return to Lakeshore Reserve in a heartbeat and hope to do so soon!

Great location for Sea World, and Universal, short drive to Disney.

I have stayed at most of the Marriott's in the area (Cypress Harbor, Grande Vista, etc..) and I know what to expect from a Marriott, this being excellent service, fun activities, and clean rooms, this time was not the case. We had our normal check-in time of 4:00 p.m. and the room was ready promptly, however; the room seemed to no have been cleaned well. The second room had a sleeper sofa and king bed, but the mattress on the sleeper sofa had a foul smell coming from it and upon investigation we saw a large urine stain. We called the front desk and the problem was taken care of quickly and they gave us a bottle of wine and some vouchers to apologize. Other than that, the room was great just like most Marriott's in the area.

I know this resort is supposed to be more relaxed than that of Grande Vista, but the activity staff really needs to be replaced or there needs to be better activities. They seemed uneducated and not very friendly. The activities were lame and lacking, which were expected because we have stayed here before, but we hoped they could have at least tried to improve them. Obviously this was not the case.

Overall, I give the stay a 6.75/10, besides those details, everything else was fantastic.

Thank you for your Tripadvisor review of Marriott's Lakeshore Reserve. While it is never easy to hear when our guests encounter a cleanliness issue in their villa, we are happy that the front desk was able to address the situation for you. Our team also appreciates your feedback for the activities team and will share your comments with the appropriate managers. We hope to see you again on a future trip to Orlando!

This hotel is very close to the theme parks and has big rooms with full size kitchens. Seems like a great set up for families with kids. The lazy river pool is awesome. It does not have a fast current which I thought was great. If I wanted a water park, I'd go find one. The hotel now is connected to the other two hotels next door, so really you get three options for food, pools, etc. being placed on the nature reserve is also interesting. If your into watching birds or catching an alligator on the walking path, it's great. I'm not big into it, but I appreciated the change of usually only being only able to hear traffic. Great change at night if you are at the theme parks all day. Also, they have hotel activities daily you can check out.
