“Elegant restaurant”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

This was a wonderful experience. You are treated like royalty from the moment you arrive. We went to the bar first and had a drink. They brought us complimentary fancy almonds and dried pineapple (not the usual kind---so different and delicious). Another couple met us there and then
we were escorted to our table near the window overlooking the gorgeous pool. We had at least 2 waiters serving us at all times, And they did not hover...just very polite and made sure we were happy with everything. They recommended what to order and everything was delicious. Very nice sized portions. Presentation excellent also. The Chateaubriand was outstanding. The Chicken Confit very moist and wonderful flavor. I couldn't finish it. You could probably order 2 entrees and share. The caesar salad was especially tasty and it was prepared right at our table. So was the Chateaubriand. We had Chocolate Creme Brûlée and "the Lemon" for dessert. Very different and refreshing. They are known for this dessert. Most of the desserts can be shared, but this is probably the smallest---we shared it anyway because we were getting other desserts. It was so nice to spend two hours at dinner and not be rushed. We really enjoyed all the flavors of each dish and would definitely go back again. Great place for a special occasion. Good wine and drink list also.

“Flawless Engagement Dinner”
Reviewed August 30, 2013

On June 27, 2013, after the most romantic proposal ever in our 15th floor suite, my fiance and I were treated to the most incredible engagement dinner at Bull & Bear. We live in San Francisco, and I'm a CIA grad, so we know food, we know service, we know atmosphere; Bull & Bear gave us a flawless dining experience.

It was a Thursday night, and my fiance prearranged the reservation and the particular table prior to our one-night stay at the Waldorf. Even after being an hour late for our reservation, our table was waiting for us. They popped open a celebratory bottle of champagne for us and let us enjoy the moment before discussing the menu with us. I love that - no reason to pour champagne and then stand there for 2 minutes, not letting the guests toast first. They were on point.

They delighted us to a very special multi-course meal: Amuse Bouche, Tuna 3-ways, Lobster Bisque, Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad, Pasta Explosion, Aged Sirloin with Lobster Tail, Filet with Seared Foie Gras, Lobster Mac-n-Cheese, Sauteed Spinach, and 3 delightful desserts - the 7-Chocolate Cake, the Beignets, and the Frozen Lemon. Oh my gosh, the lemon! Even with an incredible meal, there are usually things that are "good, but I wouldn't order them again" - but not here. Everything was fabulous. The servers were so attentive but not in our space, allowing for plenty of romance between the two of us.

Thank you, Bull & Bear, for making our engagement dinner such a memorable experience! We hope to recreate the whole meal again one day...and maybe bring some family and friends with us, too!

Jenna & Paul

“One of the best dinners in Orlando ever!”
Reviewed August 17, 2013 via mobile

We ate here on a family members birthday. The service was impeccable - as was our meal. We had a variety of items, one of their Chicago dry aged steaks ( incredibly flavorful, tender and done exactly to my specifications-medium rare. Also enjoyed the short-ribs, and Dover Sole ( waiter informed us that no DS but substituted an excellent alternative ) and added the Maine lobster tail. With this we added the spinach served family style ( large serving enough for 4) and per-ordered chocolate soufflé. We ordered enough that we did not order any of the very tempting salads or soups etc. Everything exceeded our expectations! We also enjoyed the Amuse Bouche ( tuna tartare), fresh, warm bread and a beautiful wine. After the soufflé the manager brought a house specialty, The Lemon"- a 4 hour simmered lemon shell stuffed with lemon sorbet and Chantilly cream. It came with a happy birthday song and candle-nice touch. I would order it again in a heart beat. Although this is a fine dining atmosphere, our children were welcomed and many other customers had kids as well so you would not feel uncomfortable bringing your kids. Great service and food! Aged steak and The Lemon are
not to be missed!
